they shoudl fight not yet, wait till there something like a "star". that would be a super fight, damn would I be hyped for this one:happy
Yes, his very quick feet as I mentioned are what I base the aspect of good timing on, it is more good timing by the sheer amount of times he can come in and out per second than anything else.
I dont agree with the saying 'you're only as good as your last fight' but I guess you do so we will not agree here.
Not at all. I just haven't seen any of his other fights, if you can direct me to his most impressive showings then I would be grateful.
A very impressive talent imo, he was his contemporaries superior as an amateur(bute, dirrell) and I expect him to maintain that level. He needs to be moved quickly.
What professional fights of Golovkin have suggested to you that he would be capable of maintaining that level? What qualities do you see in him?
Word is Golovkin is targeting Hassan N´Dam Njikam, and if this happens this will be a very interesting fight to see and will give us a good indication where both these contenders are at. The Golovkin Team has made an offer to Sebastien Acaries for a fight between regular WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin and WBA interim champion Hassan N´Dam Ndjikam. Oleg Hermann, promoter of Golovkin, stated We have the WBA order for a fight against Hassan N´Dam and we want this fight definitely. We hope Hassan N´Dam will not duck Gennady for this big fight between two talented fighters for world championship belt of WBA. If we don´t get an arrangement with Acaries, the WBA will hold a purse bid for this fight and the winner will choose the place and date. http://www.fightnews.com/Boxing/golovkin-targets-ndam-ndjikam-71173 [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9kRuOoTt5k[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ulxU10ZRcis&feature=related[/ame]
All of them. He has very strong generalship, a powerful head/body attack, incredibly sound fundamentals, and is overall very efficient and calm. He is a powerful puncher but is not wild, he throws a solid amount of leather but doesn't get hit a lot, and he systematically breaks down his opponents. He has the tools. I can't wait to see what he does next. If he fights N'Jikam you'll see!
Did you see his last fight against Nilson Tapia? He was getting tagged with the jab, and probably getting hit more often than he would have liked.
It happens when you fight a guy with a similar style to yours who is taller and rangier. Still beat his ass :deal
The best opponent he has faced is probably Ian Gardner. But Golovkin had only had half as many fights as he had now. http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=41319&cat=boxer
Oh definitely the future. And that's coming from watching him as an amateur disect the likes of Bute and Dirrell aswell more so than his professional career. His timing and punch precision is excellent and will carry him a long way, combined that with great technique generating power and solid ring smarts. Defensively I think he's good enough aswell, his defence is pretty basic but effective. The only thing about him is he doesn't exactly have blazing handspeed but his timing makes up for that.
Golovkin, in my opinion, beats everyone at 160 and would probably beat the best at 168 also. If he gets his promotion business together he could be a future hall of famer.
