Maybe Peter is just tired of getting his head pounded on by any decent fighter?

Dude must lose at least 20 IQ points a fight.

It probably takes a month and a shitload of ice just to get the swelling down.

50/50 is fair IMO and I think an easy fight for Adamek.

Im afraid they will not be able to pull off this fight and Adamek ends up fighting some Mormeck/Maddalone calibre again.

It isn't that unreasonable at all.

I say that as a big Adamek fan and someone who's levied plenty of criticism at Peter in the past.

Tomasz is the hotter commodity right now (a factor with which purse splits obviously have much to do) but as of now he's still never progressed beyond "contender" level at heavyweight. He has yet to even challenge for a world title. Peter has been in 4 title bouts (the most recent being just a few months ago in his last outing) and is a former champ.

50-50 is not that far fetched.

Half of a Peter fight is probably still more money than 95% of what Grant or Maddalone pulled in as dance partners (or Mormeck would).

55-45 would be a good thing for Peter. His last big paycheck. Even though Adamek would be the heavy favorite, it would be interesting to see how Adamek would handle Peter's power. Adamek was being thrown from post to post each time Arreola made contact with his fists and we all know Peter is a bigger puncher. Adamek UD, but not without a scare or 2.

As for the split, I agree. Adamek is a two division world champion, with one loss (Chad Dawson @ 175) who is on his way up. I could see him beating David Haye, but probably not Wlad or Vitali.

Peter's best win is Maskaev in 08, and he has losses to K2 and Eddie Chambers. Peter is on the decline. Personally, I think he's able to fight and win at a regional or national level, but not at the current world HW level.

:patsch Another ESB Computer Warrior. I'm hoping you are being sarcastic, but just in case, I'm going to take the opportunity to school the keyboard warriors.

Clubfighter: def: Usually fights locally and has a mediocre record. Club fighters generally are not nationally recognized and have not won any fights that show the ability to win a championship.

Chris is rated in the top 5 of American Heavyweights! He's won national and regional titles, fought recognized fighters as well as other national and regional fighters.

    Pro record: 29(KO 25) - 2 KO% 80.65

    Has won:
    NABF Heavyweight Title (2008-present)
WBC Continental Americas Heavyweight Title (2007-present)
    2001 National Golden Gloves Champion

    Two losses are to:
Adamek - Two Division World Champion, NABO Heavyweight Champions

Vitali Klitschko - Needs no further introduction.

    Chris has beaten:
    Chazz Witherspoon: 2004 National Golden Gloves Champ, 28(KO 20)-2 KO% 66.67

Jameel McCline: NABO Heavyweight title, WBC Continental Americas heavyweight title

Brian Minto: WBO NABO Heavyweight Title, Pennsylvania Heavyweight Title, WBA Fedecentro Heavyweight Title, West Virginia Heavyweight Title, 35(KO 22)-4 KO% 56.41

I don't know what gym you box out of, but at my gym there are no North American or National Golden Gloves Champions. :deal

Judging by how Adamek took the glancing blows by Grant, and the halfhearted shots by Arreola, he shouldn't give Peter more than $1 for this fight.

Adamek will need every dollar from the purse to reattach his head if he is to fight Peter.
