Mikey Garcia deserves a mention as well. He beat Oliver Lontchi in his last outing, quicker than Juanma did as well.

He looks slightly one dimensional to me. Now there's nothing wrong with that, there have been some brillient fighters who were one dimensional. But they have to be very good at what they do and set their punches up really well, because there's more then one way to skin a cat if you get my drift? There's also that tendency for punchers to fall in love with their power and they can be confused and smothered relatively easily.

He doesn't vary his punch speed from what i've seen. I wanna see whether he can fight hard for a long period.

Golovkin would slaughter Lemieux at this point.

    You're entitled to your opinion.

What evidence do you have to suggest Golovkin is considerably better at this point? Links to footage would be ideal.

Lemieux would KO Alvarez in 2.

No love in this thread for my boy Matt Korobov? I wouldn't say he's a better prospect than Lemieux, who appears to me to be the real deal, but he's deserving of a mention as an excellent young talent. I was ready to hop on the Rigondeaux express, too, until his last fight. His safety-first approach after he landed one straight to the body of Cordoba really put me off. He made that fight much harder than it should have been, and stunk the place out. Sadly, while Casey may be all heart, he'll be sorely outclassed by the vastly more experienced Cuban.

Sadly, the best "prospect" remains Vasyl Lomachenko. He's more naturally gifted than any of the pros listed in this thread thus far.

After 2012 is the rumour. No idea why, he already has his gold from Beijing.

Love his style, his calm and collected poise. He'll go far.

I believe you already know the answer to that.

Nevertheless, I stand by my original assertion. He's the most naturally gited prospect on the planet, irrespective of status. Alvarez, in terms of pure talent, cannot touch him in my opinion.

He's not a prospect until he turns Professional and has his first fight.

Professional Boxing....Amateur Boxing...two completely different sports altogether.
