Can someone explain to me why Timothy Bradley is in the p4p top 10??!

    I just don't get it.

    In terms of ability and potential, Bradley should be highly rated. He has looked very good indeed in a couple of fights (Peterson especially).

    But in terms of resume?

    Nowhere near pound-for-pound recognition status IMO.

    An SD over an old B-class guy like Witter and the admittedly good win over Peterson are his best wins.

    Abregu was unproven, Edner Cherry is a mediocrity, Nate Campbell was clearly past his best, and I've never thought much of Kendall Holt, yet he managed to drop Bradley heavily and run him close.

    Are these really pound-for-pound calibre accomplishments? :huh

    Because he is American, bit annoying to say it but thats it, same reason why ward is so highly rated.
    Nobody at 140 has proven to be worthy of a p4p top 10 place, khan is the closest one of the guys there.

    I could see him slipped in at #9 or #10 in the rankings, but any higher than that is bs

    I would have no lww's on the list. They have all yet to prove themselves against each other. Though I agree Khan's wins over Kotelnik and Maidana have him in pole position for now.

    same reason mayweather is some how #1 lb for lb
    fighting 6 times in 5 years against a 39 year old , 36 year old featherweight, 36 year old shot oscar de la hoya, a 35 year old guy with 9 losses whose claim to fame is beating up judah, which alot of people have done since then...including mayweather who thought judah did so well in losing to the guy with 9 losses...fought him first.... :huh:huh

    well in your last p4p list you had

    3 - dawson
    6 - andre ward
    7 - marquez


    with regards to ward, why did you have him as your number 6.

    i think we can agree that a struggle over a gatekeeper like bika and a gutter level win over green do nothing to enhance a p4p ranking so you must of put ward there for his headbutted hometown victory over kessler.

    if so, how highly did you rate kessler before their fight and where abouts in your p4p rankings did you have kessler before he lost to ward?


    btw, i'm in full agreement that bradley has not yet earnt the right to be considered a top 10 p4p fighter, he's probably around 11-15.

    Why is Khan the closest? I know that list is way biased toward home fighters but Bradley deserves to be in the top 10 alot more than Khan does. Khan has really only beaten Maidana, Kotelnik, and Malignaggi as relevant fighters.
    Bradley has beaten Witter, Holt, Campbell, and Abregu now he is facing Alexander.

    He definately has the better resume of the 140 pounders.

    Khan has kotelnik,malignaggi and shot barrera on his resume, he beat them all in impressive fashion, he has skills talent and in my eyes the war with maidana where he proved himself and come out on top puts him ahead of the other guys at 140. Maidana lost to khan and looked bad vs corley, ortiz i wont even mention, alexander lost vs kotelnik who khan beat but got the hometown win.
    Bradley has skills sure, but I rate khans resume better. If bradley beat alexander then the winner of khan vs bradley will be a top 10 p4p fighter.
    I have nothing against bradley but in my eyes khan has a bit of a better resume thanks to the maidana win

    Dawson is one of the most talented fighters out there, his performances against top quality fighters like Adamek and Glen Johnson speak for themselves. He will crush Pascal in a rematch and return to the top 10 this year.

    Ward is the leader and the most impressive performer so far in the best boxing tournament in decades. His level of dominance against Kessler, Green and Bika cannot be questioned. It would be bizarre to not have the Super Six standout recognized in the rankings.

    Marquez dipped in my estimations when he had so much trouble with Juan Diaz first time out, the Mayweather fight did his standing no credit (he shouldn't have taken such an unfair and pointless fight anyway), but his last two fights (especially his most recent) have seen him rise again in my top 10.

    You ranked Froch much higher than Kessler immediately after Kessler beat him fair and square, so your own rankings are bogus anyway. :nut

    Mayweather deserves his placing. His performance vs Mosley is light years ahead of anything Tim Bradley has achieved.
