I think it was more of an emotional build up for that fight that made it seem great. Two very powerful personalities in the ring, with wild fans. The fight was at a good pace, but the missed punches were astonishing. Not FOTY but a good fight at the top level of the sport.

 

I didnt even think JMM-Katsidis was that special.

Personally enjoyed Soto-Antillon more, maybe because my expectations were lower though.

For twists and turns, Khan-Maidana cannot be rivalled.

 

I enjoyed it a lot, and at the time I thought it might be a FOTY candidate. But I think it was more personal hype than anything, because I enjoy watching both of those guys. Toward the end, it did get kinda ugly.

I'd say Khan-Maidana for myself. A lot of drama in that fight.

 

Maybe I get plenty of hate for it but my brothers, when I watched that fight I nearly fell asleep and I wasn't even tired. Everytime i see someone mention it as FOTY, great fight or good fight I just don't understand. I thought Khan vs. Maidana and JMM vs. Katsidis were a thousand times better than that. I... I just don't know what people think was great about it. And even ROTY should be JMM - Katsidis round 3 or Khan Maidana 10 - or which round it was in which Khan was on ***** street. Maybe it is because, one day before i saw that fight, I've watched Leonard - Duran I ;>

 

Thought it was ok, not fight of the year, look at the 12th round where you see both of them swinging and missing, very ugly fight.
