Kessler, Ward, Froch & maybe even Dirrell over Bute at this point is acceptable... but Abraham ? I seriously don't think so !!
U know nothing about boxing then.. Jones was good. But There are so many different styles in that list. Im not sure if any boxer can fight all styles 100%.. Bute fights very defensive. Calzaghe very fast and akward. Ward slick, dirty and fast. Kessler, mastering jabs. Froch, is just a warrior with akward style. Yes he can win against them, but he can defently also loose.
Any division with Calslappy as the all-time number one should immediately be disbanded and never spoken of again. I am seriously reconsidering my support of the Super Six in light of this revelation.
I think more than just several. The all time list at smw has a lot of guys who do not belong in a top 10 all time list. Not to say they weren't good or very good fighters But as you said, the division is young, and not exactly a division that has drawn many top quality guys to seek to make a legacy there. It's always been a stepping stone from mw to lhw or an occassional stop over or catchweight fight. A guy like Calzaghe, seeking fame and fortune in the division exclusively for the most part has done wonders IMO. Now you see other fighters with alot of potential trying to do the same. It may never carry the same prestige nor attract the same numbers of fighters as the classic divisions, but it is definitely on the rise.
