dumb amateur boxing gear question

    i was wondering why some fighters use those jersey ties or tape on the back of their jersey. i know its so the jersey is a tighter fit but is it for personal preference or is it in the rules that the jersey be more fitted?

    I could ssee them making you do it if your jersey was super baggy, but it's just personal preference for most people.

    I've never bothered with it.
