Look I may be biased since he pretty messed up my boyfriend from sparring in Chicago in 2008 when he enrolled in one of his training camps. Pretty nice dude, but talks too much and has a wandering eye for the ladies even with his girl around. That beating suits him.
I will always be a fan of Philippino fighters. Part of my heart still goes out to him. What gets into my nerves is the way he had different stories on his ALIBATA Tattoos which made him sound like no one would be able to beat him. This he said in from of about fifty people. He's a jerk. Having a dis configured nose from a bitchslap will have his ego in check. See the moment he covered his face? Priceless. :thumbsup
He always seems to talk a good fight, but never delivers. And thiago is the wrong guy to raise your arms and mug to the crowd when you knock him down. The ***** slap was well deserved, and funny as hell too

It becomes plainer with each passing fight that Vera has never had the mental strenght to come though a stern test. He looked good in his can crushing days and finished an equally flakey and out of shape Mir but since then whenever he's be put under pressure he's become WAY too defencive.
Vera is ****. I can't believe I got odds of 1.8 on Thiago to win that fight. Easiest money I've ever won.
Dave Meltzer made the point that Vera should maybe do K-1 since he apparently wants to do nothing on the ground. Perhaps he should. (and this guy came into MMA as a wrestler) Whatever he does, I have to think he's done in the UFC.
Yep. Vera is just not what people have proclaimed him to be. I never saw much special about him and called this when everyone else was on his jock. I didn't even think he would fall this far though.
