I know man, he was a monster back then, really good to watch; speed, power, remarkable athleticism for someone his size.

He's a worse fighter now but a better boxer; boring to watch but very effective.

On topic: he has a very good, solid, efficient left hook, though not the best ever.

 

It is no question a awsome hook, look at the 12th rd in the peters fight, that i think was the best, peter was wobbled for a good 4 seconds, it was comical. When wlads steps into it, it has more power then anything lennox lewis could throw

 

Wlad throws a good powerful left hook. If he keeps landing it flush he can knock out most of the division today. However, there are quite a few guys who hooked better. Louis, Jones Jr., Tyson, and Robinson for example could triple up on them and alternate to the liver and head. Robinson and Jones could even lead with them, they were fast enough with it to do that consistently and not get tagged. Dempsey, Frazier and Langford could KTFO much bigger guys easily with a single one of their left hooks, short or long. Wlad has a good hook, but its not that fast, it's not that versatile, and he doesn't throw it to the body well when he easily could with his size advantage. He doesn't throw it enough, in combinations or otherwise

Vlads left hook is very good, his jab is better though and is the best jab in the heavyweights by a mile.
