He didnt really beat Randy, just people gave him the fight for aggression because of Randy's stalling tactics tbh. He still didnt really do **** all to Randy damage wise And the motorcycle beat Mir, not Vera
Nah I think we've seen that while not in the best shape Mir carries the same weaknesses even today, he simpley can't come though punishment.

I was really disappointed to see Vera be held down like that. I was just fast forwarding the rounds with a stern look seeing Vera essentially just wiggle around failing to even budge Thiago Silva. Both fighters are the most disappointing in the Light Heavyweight division today. Thiago Silva has just completely lost any of his excitement value and seems more interested in beating Anderson Silva in the p4p Trolling ranks rather than getting a title shot, and Vera's just... he's got zero ground game when you think he really should, and his standup work was so incredibly sloppy. I feel sorry for him though, I quite liked Vera.
My man sweared Brandon was easy to hit having a big face, and he was able to connect pretty decently. It was on the ground where Brandon roughed him up more than it should and got a chokehold where he would never let go for ten seconds despite the submission/surrender taps on Barndon's thigh made by my boyfriend. He wouldn't go about ten seconds or so probably just to get even by being constantly peppered in the face. And by the looks of it he outweighed my man by at least twenty pounds. Lost respect for him after that. And when the build-up for this Silva match showed him talking trash more than a Floyd Mayweather in his prime, i knew this Brandon was a jerk. I'd say Dana should cut him this time around. :good

Thanks, PekPek. Vera is no doubt done in the UFC. He's dropped three in a row now. He is STRIKEFORCE bound. He's a frustrating fighter because with his muay thai and greco roman wrestling, he had the ability to beat anyone. Vera just seemed to lack the "character" (as Cus D'Amato might say) to win his fights.
Vera is a good fighter, he just isn't the elite in a stacked division. Not everyone can be the champion. Hell, most will never make the top 10. Fightmatrix.com uses some sort of mathematical equation to rank fighters, similar to what boxrec does for boxers. I don't believe in that method for ranking fighters, but they're probably not too far off in Vera's regard. Fight Matrix has Vera ranked 24th out of 250 light heavyweights. That means he is better than 90% of the fighters they rank. That's not too shabby.
