Would I be excited to see this fight? Yes, just like any other boxing fight on HBO, Showtime, Telemundo, ESPN2, etc. but to me if it happens great, if it doesn't eh I don't care there are other great fights out there. This isn't the end all be all fight of fights...to me anyway and obviously I'm in the minority. To me this fight not happening I won't be saying "boxing is dead" or whatever else so it doesn't bother me at all, but looking at the big picture and looking thru the eyes of a casual fans this fight needs to happen because they will say boxing is dead and whatever bull**** they say.

I still want the fight, but I have never believed Mayweather would step up to the plate for it, and I still don't. Ever since Castillo showed Mayweather that he was mortal back in '02, Floyd's every move has been carefully considered. That's why he never fought Tszyu, Williams, Cotto, Margarito, or Mosley until Shane was older, inactive, and had been outboxed by Cotto. Mayweather knows Pacquiao's speed, power, skills and will would be his nightmare. It won't happen. Expect much more feeble allegations and excuses in 2011.

I'm sick of hearing about this fight to be honest.

If it's made, I'll watch it, but it's pretty obvious that Mayweather just doesn't fancy it.

As for Pacquiao, I'd like to see him fight Marquez for a third time..... then fight some of the younger guns in the 140 and 147 divisions rather than more old men or rematches with Clottey or Cotto or Margarito - which Arum would probably look to make.

I'm sick of catchweight fights and as such aren't interested in Martinez at 155 or whatever..... and Martinez himself ought to be looking at knocking over the young guns at 160 or move up to 168 for the bigger names coming off the S6 if he wants $$$$$.

Look everybody wants this fight as it would probably be one of the best fights in the history of boxing but people are forgetting a major factor,Pac is willing to take any test and Mayweathers legal problems could be suspended with ease, but the one thing that mayweather is not willing to chance is his unbeaten record which is understandable as Paquiao is the biggest threat to this record.

As long as it is not about anything that will help make the fight between them I'm not interested.

The only nostramus here in esb was pacdbest! Pacdbest was sure Pac will beat Floyd! Floyd read about it and now floyd's ducking with all his might!

You could say the exact same thing about pac, since the marquez fights, pac and his team have carefully picked his next opponents, just ask freddie roach.

Pac has fought tougher comp than Mayweather. That's not even debatable. And Cotto chose Pac as much as Pac chose Cotto. They both asked for the fight, they turned up, Cotto significantly outweighed Pac, and Pac lit him up. It's behaviour like that which wins you Fighter Of The Decade awards and p4p#1 positions. :good

it will happen... when Pacquiao is as old as Bernard Hopkins, maybe, just maybe PBF will have the urged again.

And for Pacquiao being a cherry picker, who in their right mind would cherry pick someone who's much bigger and stronger than he has previously faced? add the fact that those guys aren't push overs, they are at the top of the rankings at WW. If Pacquiao is a cherry picker for facing those guys, let's see someone like JMM pick one of them, hell, even PBF didn't dare to pick a fight with one of them!
