very true king and the yanks were all talking about the fight as if Benn was a condemned man, and most of our own press and experts

I think this pic illustrates how big of an underdog Benn was against McClellan:

Why are the odds next to newspapers?

Benn was 5/2 to win IIRC so the individual rounds wouldn't have been that wide.

They were the picks the newspaper boxing journalists made for the fight.

So no major paper backed Benn to last 6, let alone win!!

    Modern era:

    Overseas..Curry/Honeyghan

    Home.......Benn/McClellan or Turpin/Robinson

Hard to split them & i would'nt want to disrespect any of them but my preff is Lloyds incredible dismantling of the P4P undisputed 147 king Don "The Lone Star Cobra" Curry:yep

Guys you can't be putting Calzaghe/Lacy and Froch/Abraham down as actual 'great' wins. They are not great fighters so they can't be great wins regardless of the manner of victory. The way they got handled actually demonstrates this.
