i like slick fast fighters who can land from distance with a single shot or great combo. my 5 favourite fighters to watch are:

1...andre dirrell.....unpopular with some but when he starts throwing theres no better sight in boxing! plus he has the fastest head movement to avoid getting hit,. imo

2... amir khan....very slick and fast and has good power now to. one of the best combination punchers in the world.

3... floyed may.... he has the lot. when he dicides to throw it p0retty great.

4.... yourakis gamboa..... breath taking hard combo's.

5.... james degale.... lands punches you dont see. he has the most skill ive seen in a prospect in quite some time.

    1. Mayweather - His defence, command of the ring, that pull-counter, the left-hook....best boxer in the world by a country mile.

    2. Pac - His explosiveness, 6-punch combinations, lightening speed, crunching power, relentlessness....best fighter in the world by a country mile.

    3. B-Hop - Makes that ring and the opponent in it, his! What a wizard.

    4. Khan - When things are going his way and he's got the momentum, he looks special. Great jab, hand-speed to match (maybe exceed) the Pacquiaos and the Mayweathers, and good power too.

    5. JMM - He'll get shaken up and knocked down early, but give him a minute or two to re-compose himself, and he'll guarantee you an awesome boxing exhibition. His combinations are a sight to behold.

Right on brother. This is what boxing is all about. We both ride on the same car and wave our Floyd flags. :goodThe correct style of boxing. Pleasing to the eye. That's why Pacquiao should never be great as his style isn't slick. Be slick and you get somehwere. Fact. :good

Manny Pacquiao- unbelievable footwork, speed and power from weird angles, not to mention the heart of a lion.

Mayweather- once in a lifetime, nearly perfect boxing skills coupled with an impregnable, old school defensive style. underrated pop in both fists.

Carl Froch- Uses his awkward boxing ability with that rangy frame to frustrate some opponents, but also willing to rely on his iron chin and go bombs away. a true blood and guts warrior when necessary.

Juan Manuel Marquez- always seems to be fighting adversity in his fights, which makes them all the more exciting, because he never gives up, and almost always uses his picture perfectly thrown and deadly accurate jabs, straights, hooks, uppercuts, whatever, to get the job. and he also epitomizes the mexican warrior persona in the ring.

David Haye- when he's fighting and not talking, he's amazing to watch. one of the fastest punchers and fastest guys, period, heavyweight has seen in a decade or more. an all around athlete who almost always goes into fights with the intentions of knocking his oppponent's chin off. also an underrated warrior, having been knocked down only to get off the canvas and knock his opponent out.

Honorable Mentions- Tomasz Adamek, Andre Ward, Andre Dirrell, Canelo, Fernando Guerrero, Kirkland, Angulo, Darchinyan and Mares.

Guys I love watching against certain styles- Hopkins (against young, hungry guys that want to knock him out), Mosley (against a straight ahead pressure fighter) Devon Alexander (opposite a pressure fighter)

I think that's the first time I've seen Dirrell's style described as "pleasing". I take it you missed the Stevens and Froch fights?

There's room for both sluggers/boxer-punchers and slick fighters. There is no "correct style of boxing" and real fans can appreciate both styles.

Joe Frazier, Marven Hagler, Jack Dempsey, David Tua -Definitely not slick, but still popular and very pleasing to the eye.

Look no further than Ring Magazine's fight of the year and you'll notice alot of the winners are mostly slugfests.

JMM- His combinations have got to be the best in boxing. He can throw any punch from any angle. Specially the uppercut. Show me a fighter that can throw uppercuts from out of range and not get KOd.

Martinez- He was avoided for so long. After i saw him against Bunema i wanted more. We didnt get it till way later. I saw him against Cintron and again i wanted more. I dont understand why there wasnt so much demand to see this exciting fighter. Once he got his chance he showed why he had been so avoided. Even though he had tough breaks he kept on going. A true underdog story. I think he has been the underdog in his last 4 fights. And we all know he won them all.

Pac- He has a very crowd pleasing style that involves alot of speed and power. I just wish he would fight different style of fighters.

PBF- He has some of the best technical skills. Too inactive though. His mouth is also a downside to him.

Hopkins- Also another guy i couldnt stand watching but now that i appreciate all styles of fighting. This guy is as close as we get to the GOAT in our era. Of our time!! so dont crucify me. He can also have some lackluster performances but i think it has to do with his opponents because in all his big fights he is pretty exciting.

Honorable mentions: Canelo, Khan, Guerrero, Froch, Adamek, Pirog, Cotto, Gamboa, Montiel, Donaire(even though Bob keeps him hidden in unknown PPVs)

    1) Pacquiao - pure dynamite

    2) Mayweather - The most naturally gifted fighter alive

    3) JMM - 46 unanswered punches against Katsidis says it's all really

    4) Khan - good power, good movement, and still likely to be hit and hurt alibis which makes for excitement

    5) Froch - just because he fights the best without fail.

i saw both fights. against stevens he landed time after time. but struggled with the smaller pressure fighter. against froch he was scared. he shouldnt of been because he had speed, skill, and movement advantage.

sometimes mayweather is boring but when he's throwing and trying to ko someone its great to see.

it depends really. Some fighters fights are pleasing to the eye:
Manny, Froch, Katsidiz, Marquez - as they engage, and don't hold and are nearly always in exciting fights.

Where some fighters styles are pleasing on the eye (even though their fights often Arent)
    Mayweather, Toney, Jones.

    what you after?
