Hatton is gonna get stopped.

I have to issue a counter-fatwa on this one:

Mayweather will outbox Hatton and win a unanimous decision. No knockdowns and no knockout. In fact, I expect the rounds to be competitive as Hatton comes forward and tries to "make the fight," while Floyd potshots him from the outside.

I hope this does not put me into the ranks of the infidels!

 

Mayweather will be too busy containing Hatton's all out aggression to cause significant damage in the early rounds. Although I don't reject the possibility of Mayweather winning by stoppage, I doubt it would happen before the 10th round.

Floyd will not stop him! Floyd is great at hyping himself into a superbeing before fights. He actually looks like a superfighter but he wont come close to stopping Hatton. Hatton has fought much harder punchers than Jr. ie Tszyu, Urango and probably Collazo. Now these fighters are nowhere near the skill of Jr. but pound for pound probably hit harder. Floyd will move (some will say run) and pot shot his way to a victory after he has us tune in to see something special from him we wont get.

 

I'm not so sure that Hatton will be stopped, however, I can easily see Floyd winning by decision. I'll go so far as to say if Hatton is stopped, it'll be due to cuts or swelling.

 

My guess was wrong, thought it would go the distance. Good thing I don't put money on fights.
