I think they are both about equal. Should have had a 3rd option: draw.

Mosley, although known for his speed, has never been known for his defense. I got Pacquiao winning this one easily.... again. Mosley will be right there for Pacquiao all night. Perfect style for him IMO and it'll make Manny look good.

They don't want any piece of JMM, not because he can necessarily pull out the victory; But because no matter what the outcome is, Pacquiao will not look as stellar as he could against a different opponent. JMM's style causes Pacquiao some problems and their first 2 fights are evidence to that.

Put it this way, who would we rather see pac fight, marquez or mosley?

You now have your answer as to which fight is the bigger farce. And it aint' Mayweather V marquez.

Find it hard to seperate the two. But I will say this, Floyd was coming back from a long lay off. Marquez was never meant to be a competitive, the idea was Floyd would shine against a big name, get the spot light back on him.

Pacquaio however, is on a fantastic fight, getting better and better, and as such you would expect him to be fighting tougher and tougher opponents.... Unfortunately at this stage Mosley doesn't look too competitive, but he does have that punchers chance I guess

But does that also go the other way? Who would we rather see PBF fight, Marquez or Mosley?

We got an absolute answer to that one too.

i wont label them as worst; mayweather was too cautious
with marquez so he put up more weight, in mosley, the
payper view was a factor here:thumbsup

I am so glad that sanity is prevailing over twisted fanboy bias on this poll.

A welterweight vs a lightweight with every conceivable card stacked in favour of the welterweight is a JOKE of a fight. A welterweight vs another welterweight years past his prime (but who was considered the p4p#3 only last year) is nowhere near as bad. Thankfully neutrals and those with brains can see this obvious truth.

Well done ESB! Shame on the fanboys.

    :good

WHat I don't get about this thread is this:

The question is 'Which is the worst fight'. You give your answer AND provide legitimate logic and reasoning and all of a sudden you're a '*******' and defending the Mosley - Pacquaio fight?

I genuinely find it strange that there are people on here who can't stand to have a bad word said against their hero, and have to gang together to blindly rebutt any criticism.

Surely that fact that you're joining in this debate implied that you accept that BOTH are dog **** fights?

People really hyped up mayweather fighting mosley after mayweather one sided domination over marquez. Remember the whole stepping in the ring incident. Mayweather fought him next and schooled him.

No one is calling or hyping for pac to fight Shane. In fact people would rather see pac fight marquez, and it has nothing to do with SIZE.

they are both bad but at least pacquiao-mosley are both welterweights. the other fight is a welterweight versus a lightweight. mosley has some chance to beat pacquiao since he is the physically bigger and stronger fighter than pac. jmm-floyd, we already know that there is only one result and no one, not even divac, had given jmm some chance.

People would rather see pac v marquez and this is a fact. And it is not for nostalgia reasons either, people feel marquez has a better shot at upsetting pac than the current mosley does. Which is why so many people are disappointed about this bout taking place.

I'm with you, and I raised this point in this thread. I don't think ANYONE thinks that Pac - Mosley is a good fight. BUT . .

The whole point of the thread is which is a WORSE fight, Pac - Shane or Mayweather - JMM. It wasn't 'Post in this thread if you support Pac vs Shane'. Just because a load of people think that it's a better fight than Floyd - JMM doesn't mean they support it or think it's a good fight. They just think that Mayweather - JMM was shitter.

As soon as people say they think that Mayweather - JMM is the worse of the two fights, then a group of Mayweather fans kick up a stink, call them *******s and acuse them of justifying/supporting Pac vs Shane! It's the behaviour of a bunch teeny boppers!

    This ****ing place!

That's not the reason that I would prefer to see Pac vs Marquez. If Marquez fought Mosley at 147 right now, he'd get KO'd. The reason I'd rather see Pac-Marquez is simply because that fight has the interest factor of their history, the fact they have produced two great fights, and that as a Pac fan I would love to see him decisively defeat his most difficult opponent to date, which I think he would.

Pac-Mosley will be a dull and pretty one-sided fight, but Mosley constantly carries the equalizer with his power. That makes him more dangerous than Marquez.

Pac-Marquez would be a more exciting fight, because of the styles match-up, but although there would be fireworks for a while, I have no doubt whatsoever that it ends with Marquez on the canvas every time.

Do you seriously think Marquez would beat Mosley now in a ww fight? :huh

The poll has spoken and luckily objectivity won. For Marquez to go up in two weight division is already ridiculous but it was compounded by the other guy not even honoring the agreed weight and decided to just pay the minimal penalty.

Floyd fought a p4p Marquez as a tune-up fight. A tune-up against a top p4p!!! How can you criticize that!!! :deal
