It looks like HBO is pushing that WBA-IBF World Champion Yuriorkis Gamboa faces Caballero's conqueror Jason Litzau soon! Plus, JuanMa Lopez will very probably fight Rigondeaux's last victim Ricardo Córdoba!

Man, Arum is really serious about extending the Gamboa-Lopez mega sho-down. I like Litzau for Gamboa, he is very tall and aggressive and defeated Celestino Caballero in his last fight, but Gamboa will do to him similar to what he did to Mtagwa. Córdoba can very well present Lopez with some problems as he is way taller, is a southpaw and has over 40+ pro fights.

What do you think guys ? :good

Yeah, let's see if Maestrito can actually land some on Lopez, ( as he couldn't find Rigondeaux all night long )... :yep

wasnt he supposed to fight Rojas last year but for whatever reason Rojas had to pull out and Gamboa fought Salido instead.

That's funny, cause I remember El Chacal being dumped on the canvas at one point in that fight.:yep

Seriously though, I'm not quite sure who to root for in that fight. I definitely want Gamboa to win but Juanma-Cordoba is different. People think that I only like Cordoba because of the Dunne fight, which isnt true, I've followed him since 05/06 but I've always been a big Lopez fan and obviously want the Gamboa fight to happen. I'm on the fence here.

I hope the Gamboa vs Litzau fight is at super-featherweight at featherweight is a mismatch Jason when He was fighting at Feather was extremely weak and now that He is fighting at super feather making the weight would be impossible.

Hugger the last time I see the fight was extremely close and Rigo was down by a clean punch. Cordova is very tall so at featherweight could be even better for him, a stronger less fragile Cordova.

Oh please :rofl, Rigo put a glove in the floor for less than a second as Cordoba's punch just slightly brushed Rigo's head. That's not really a knockdown, now the one punch masterpiece that Rigo gave him now that's really a knockdown! :good

My friend, being " down " is when a fighter really falls to the canvas and not when he places his glove for less than 1 second in the floor while trying to avoid a flurry. That's what happened, Rigo was avoiding his punches with his waist movements and 1 punch nipped his head, his glove touched the floor so it was ruled a knockdown. Now, compare the knockdown Rigo gave Cordoba and you will see the major difference. :-(

Still that was a knockdown even if if was a balance punch, and the fight was competitive, but is Rigo foult because He ran if not He could had won more easily.

Well, I was joking a bit. I thought it was a close fight though and if Juanma advances recklessly then Maestrito has a pretty good chance.

Brother, no offense but that was not a close fight. Rigondeaux easily won 1 through 5, and still when he decided to start his hit and run tactic he still won the latter rounds! I think that Cordoba probably won the 6th ( cause of the so called knockdown ), but the rest belong to Rigo...

Let's see if the fight is made cause now is up to Cordoba to say yes to JuanMa according to the article...
