    It goes both ways really.

Haye needs Wlad because he'll be seen as a joke who had everything in his mouth if he doesnt fight a Klitschko. From the moment he began his campain at Heavyweight he talked so loudly about him easily becomming the undisputed heavyweight champion. Well done fool

Wlad need's Haye because he'll always be remembered as the champion who never fought a single foe that before the fight, the public saw as a potential thread.

Both of them should be ashamed. They should go, along with Mayweather and Pacquiao, to the corner and be spanked by all the boxing fans.

Wlad definitely does not need Haye. It certainly wouldn't hurt Wladimir legacy to fight him, and a win would be nice. However we all know that seconds after that win his critics would just say that Haye was too small... a blown up Cruiserweight with a glass chin. So, his win would immediately be discredited.

David Haye on the other hand really has nothing to lose, and everything to gain by fighting Wlad. David Haye doesn't need Wladimir Klitschko to make money... nor the other way around. However, David Haye needs Wladimir Klitschko if he wants to create any sort of legacy for himself in the Heavyweight Division.

They both desperately need each other. Wlad needs a career defining win which he has yet to scoop and Haye's the only heavy besides Vitali that even remotely qualifies for this. Haye's got a pretty career defining win at cruiser vs Mormeck but at heavy he's a joke, so win or lose Haye needs this fight to be taken seriously at heavy.

Definitely Haye needs Wlad, because Haye hasn't achieved anything worth to mention - at least not in the HW division.

    Wlad needs Haye.

Haye will end up fighting Vitali before he retires anyway so its Wlad missing out, even though it would have resulted in a defeat he would have got more respect for going through with it after calling Haye out with the "Anytime Anywhere" vid.

Not just that he would be giving back to his fans and all boxing fans by making the fight happen, but his credibility has vanished now he is going through with yet another bull**** fight, getting abit embarrassing for him really.
