If Hatton beats Floyd, I'd put him at #1. He is coming up form 140lbs and beating the P4P #1. Then if Wright beats Cal, he is #2 and Pac drops to #3.

Dawg, I can't fault your logic but this P4P is utter crap. How long has it been going on? Did it all start with the alphabet belts?

I think it goes all the way back to Sugar Ray Robinson. I don't know, it is crap though, and frustrating a bit.

winky has a good chance in this fight. they'll be fighting at 168, right? that's just a division above winky's natural weight unlike in the hopkins fight where he fought 2 divisions up.

winky has one of the best D in boxing. and calzaghe even if he's the bigger fighter won't have a power advantage over winky. calzaghe will rely on activity and volume punching while winky will offset this with superior D and over-all better skills. this will be a close fight. i won't be surprised if this ends in a very close split decision or even a draw.

Same as me but I'd have Wright at 3 or 4 below Pacquiao and maybe Hopkins. Floyd would drop to number 5 maybe but it's tough because he started at a much lower weight so, like you say, in a "P4P sense" he might still be the best but we really have no choice but to take current form into account.

Two of my favourite boxers meet at last. I give Calzaghe an edge because of the weight and ring youth, but I wouldn't be surprised if Winky pulls of the upset. Had it not been for Hopkins giving one of the worst exhibitions of sportsmanship ever (and having the ref on his side) I think he'd have lost to Winky, but Calzaghe is a vastly superior boxer to Hopkins.

i presume it would be at 168.
but at 170 winky looked heavy/slow and sluggish both of feet and hand, and it was only hopkins also looking quite slow that it was competitive throughout.

winky USED to have the best D in boxing , i thought he was pretty open in his last 3 or 4 fights.

i thought sam solimon gave wright all he could handle and calzaghe is a 5 inch bigger/faster/way more skillfull /harder hitter volume puncher who also can shut down his opponents best weapons and make him very hard to hit when he gets in his zone.

styles mak fights and i think hopkins style gives calzaghe problems , not sure if a 168 version of winky has enough speed of hand or foot to cope.

calzaghe isgoing to throw 2 timers a s many punches as hopkins/set a verty high pace and will not be backed up to the ropes like taylor was.

i do not think wright is a p4p 168 fighter in fact i think he would struggle v a lot of the contenders at 168 all of whom are bigger/stronger/faster and hit harder than wright.

i did call this fight a few days ago, wright is a name fighter but i do not beleive at 168 a dangerous one.

Wright is coming to the end of his career and he needs some big money fights. Calzaghe is the biggest money that he can hope to make.
