There isn't a definite #1 LMW ever since the Sergio Martinez, best of two divisions, vacated the 154lbs belt last year. Pacquiao also left after his half-legit Top Rank Only fight at 150, so among the remaining players in the division, where do you have highly skilled & unbeaten WBO Champ Sergiy Dzinziruk? Let's see some LMW resumes! Dzinziruk picked up the belt vs. Santos who held a win over a prime Margarito at 54 & Sergiy made 7 defenses with wins over Julio and recently top contender Dawson. Cotto beat Foreman in his 154lbs debut Angulo beat Julio and Alcine but decisively lost to Cintron. Cintron beat Angulo and N'Dou, had a controversial loss to Williams and a highly controversial draw vs. Martinez (should've lost by KO, DQ or UD). K9 Bundrage beat an over the hill Cory Spinks. Williams beat Phillips and Cintron in that debated fight, later lost at MW. So where do you have Dzinziruk at 154lbs?
PAC is #1 LMW of the world... so after PAC I guess. :rofl:rofl Edit: wow did he really vacate so soon? I guess he is #1... Martinez should fight him.
I consider him number 2, Closely behind cotto because I consider Miguel to be the best fighter in that division. Pac doesnt count because its likely we will not see him there again. Williams is also a force at 154 I think. Dzinziruk is a very good boxer and is the most accustomed to the division. Dzin has the best resume in that division so I get you could make a case for him at number 1. I therefore really like his amrtinez match up, he deserves it.
Cotto would comfortably beat him. I rank him about 3 or 4 now.. but he's not gonna take up too much room on these message board pages in the coming years.
Dzinziruk has not had a decent fight in like three years and nearly lost to euro level Konecny. one handed guy that cannot deal with pressure not top3 imo
Dzinuruk is a good fighter and if he was more active or fought some better quality guys id probablyh have him in the top 3. But IMO he shouldnt be ranked so high the guy hasnt done nothing in a quite awhile.. I dont think id even ranking him in the top 5 right now.
[ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergiy_Dzinziruk[/ame] it states in wiki that Sergiy one silver at the world amateur champs in 1997 his been been traveling at a snails pace ever since ...which im sure wasnt Dzinzirks choice !
He'll be difficult for any fighter to beat, his record at 154 gets him the #1 slot for me. His fight with Martinez will be great and i'd fancy him against both K9 and Cotto
at least i have an excuse for my poor spelling .. http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=19949&cat=boxer
