Pride close down long time ago:lol: Other MMA companies as well. UFC will be here because they have great WWE personalities in their side. Trust me it takes like ten fights to be schedule to bring excitement in UFC, oppose to boxing were one fight is needed to break records week after week and all companies competing against each other and official numbers are achieve year after year.

And there is an MMA promoter who is?
I believe Dana (who you are referring to?) owns 10% of the UFC????
UFC is worth 1.5 billion estimate?
HAve to check those numbers...off the top of my head.

So does the buyrate for Mosley May say that Mosley IS a draw after all, or is that standard for May?

sometimes, it's the matchup that matters alot.

People don't really know how to analyze numbers in their proper context.

It's true that each fighter has a certain drawing power, and that it has a big impact on the number of sales.

But the perceived quality of the matchup is also very important. Mosley's last fight before Floyd was his destruction of Margarito. He also called Floyd out in the ring against Marquez and that fight had been talked about for almost 10 years.

So Floyd is a huge draw, Mosley is a very high quality B-side to a PPV, and the matchup itself was a good sell.

It's hard to tell since the Japanese-based Pride FC was acquired by UFC. I'm not sure if K1 (Kickboxing/MMA) has exactly filled the void left, but it still remains one of the biggest attractions in Japan sports.

If you followed more closely you'd have known Undertaker was next in line.

    Undertaker v Brock Lesnar 2011.

Then Undertaker to conquer the world.

K-1 might not come back either. Which is 10x more sad then MMA dying in Japan.

What I got from this: WWE has more class than UFC.

    Wow.
