Are all comparable but not any braver. To fight on with one arm, with half the body numbed and the shoulder itself in terrible pain is incredible. Williams showed what a warrior he was in both victory and defeat. Against a shot Tyson he still had to weather a fearsome storm and soak up punishment early in order to come back. Against Vitali he was hopelessly outclassed and outgunned and yet kept getting back up and fighting on and he would have carried on had the ref allowed him to take more punishment. Great KO over Potter, like something from an over the top Hollywood film.
Hagler KO 3 Hearns... fight was about to be stopped because of cut Hagler sustained. Hagler went out and finished Hearns in the 3rd.
Dislocated mine too, ripped the labrum apart along with the rotator cuff and had to climb up a couple hundred foot cliff...It's amazing what you can do when the adrenalin is running and there is no other choice...take it for what it's worth, it still means Williams saw no other choice, he's a warrior in my book...
This almost makes me cry. I ****ing love Danny Williams so much. The atmosphere, the commentating, it's just so beautiful. I feel absolutely ashamed to have been cheering on John McDermott that night of the rematch when I saw Williams live.
Corrales over Castillo is the first thing that came to mind. Also Pavlik bouncing back against Taylor.
gatti both eyes swollen could not see fight was all but over the fight that personifies what gatti was about an why so many people love him ,castillo vs corrales not a better fight ever arguably coralles coming of the deck multiple times pretty damn brave ,an the image of charles face is one all true fight fans have eched in their memory banks
