Good points. It would have been better for Brock if JDS had fought and beat Cain (which he could) and then Brock fought JDS, a much easier fight for him. Cannot see Brock beating Cain at all, ever.

I would love a standup battle JDS vs Fedor

I'd love to see Cain and Overeem trying to decapitate each other in the 1st round of a grudge match, champion vs champion.

cain is wild, tough, chinnable, good speed and power. overeem is a relatively complete striker.

The argument that Lesnar has JUST a size advantage is just simply untrue. The sport of MMA is riddled with huge guys who despite having a size advantage are flat out murdered by any decent (and smaller) competition. Do people also think Lesnar was the top wrestler in his weight class at the div. 1 level because he was big and strong? Of course not. Lesnar has an awesome talent base for MMA and needs much more experience to reach his potential. Wouldn't hurt to get cracked in the jaw a bit more often in training as well.

A bit of both I'd say, Lesnar clearly used his size to his advanatge as a wrestler aswell so while he is certainly skilled I wouldnt say he's on the level of some of the other high level wrestlers in the sport.

I'm not so sure Brock can't come back and beat Cain. I think Lesnar himself had too much confidence in taking a smaller guy like Cain down. That proved to be a fatal mistake. Also bear in mind that Velasquez looked slightly vulnerable at times in his fight with Congo. The Rothwell fight although one sided, did not convince me that Cain was ready to take the top spot either. With Big Nog there were questions about his health. My point is that maybe Brock with his all-to-famous confidence misjudged Velasqeuz's skill level and completeness as a fighter. Overall, I believe that Brock's loss to Cain will help him more in a rematch than Cain's victory will help him.

Maybe we will see...personally I think JDS is alot like McFedries/Irvin/Lawler/Manhoef...when they are knocking people blind with their hands they look like world beaters. I see Brock taking it to set up the rematch.

I personally don't buy the size arguments ESPECIALLY IN Div 1 wrestling. Div 1 champs often have records of like 100 - 3 over their entire four year careers. These guys are the most skilled wrestlers of their peers without a doubt and without exception have wrestled from a very young age developing those skills.

Folk/free style restling is very different from MMA takedowns. It doesn't work the same not to mention it was years ago.
If you watch Lesnar go for takedowns it looks atrocious. Also, as a heavyweight he was probably much more greco-roman style takedowns rather than going for shooting takedowns. Obviously that goes out the windows when the other guy is punching you in the face.

You want to see good takedowns, watch GSP, Sherk, or Koschek.
