    Barker-Macklin is a fight I wanted to see - I do think Macklin wins that fight, but I'm biased because I'm a bit of a fan of him. But personally I am glad he took the fight against Winky - a fight that could fast track him to a world title shot, I'm not under the illusion that Macklin is an ATG contender or anything, but he's certainly capable of beating a Sturm or Sylvester. In an ideal world he would have gotten the chance to beat Barker up before the winky opportunity came up!!! ha!

    Maybe his self opinion outweighs his CV but lets not forget that he's a boxer and if you don't talk yourself up no one else will!

    Macklin just went life and death with a guy Sturm dominated! I think EU level is as far as Mack goes and there is no shame in that. I wish him all the best though he is a top bloke.

    Nonsense. Macklin was was Euro champ before Barker then he vacated so the "soft shot" jibe is bollocks. Barker got the title through a "soft" shot when he fought for the vacant title against someone who was schooled by Andy Lee in his last fight.
