Ty, owned, lock stock and two smoking barrels m8. ....and love your work DeVoy, you old parlour talker you!
Its easy to pick and chose and come up with a comedy skid, claps hands for you Devoy. Ive made very valid points some of which just have been completly ignore or given very lame excuses like Blair had a go, ok the question was , why wasnt he able to reproduce the sucesss he had in tents in the pro ranks, not what u think about him having a go, bloody wankers. the insitution of boxing is the amateurs, not some shitty tent side show (Josey). Tents have a very small place left in todays society and that place has slowly been banned one by one, its an outlawed side show thats hanging on the fringe of being extinct, if it was such a great this and that you would see a MANY tent shows poping up around the globe, you would see rallys in protests for the reforming of laws that have outlawed these shows and more. As it stands you do not. We would see guys like Blair Wilson going from 1001 tent fight wins to a good pro record, unfortunatly all you girls come up with is a hand full of blokes winning Aussie titles and a couple that won world titles around 50 to 100 years ago lol, news flash fellas, this is what boxers fought in back then, TV wasnt mainstream and it wasnt easy making a buck boxing, alot of blokes did indeed fight in the tents. However this was yrs and yrs and yrs ago, we are talking about the NOW and as you can see and contest by Brophys lot none of them have gone onto any suceess from boxing in the tents even after 1001 wins. Yeah i been owned big time LOL.. get ur head out of the sand idiots.

LOL c'mon mate you're having plenty of fun in this thread tossing down beers and changing the goalposts every 20 seconds so don't get pissy now. If you read the thread, you'll see it's 100% accurate. :deal
how many of the boxers in that tent would win a pro fight? ellis won a state title and id say the ***** would do all right in female boxing. The rest of them were useless.. but in saying that, back in the day it was probably different, i cant comment on it because i have never seen tent boxers from back in the day. but boxing aside it has helped guide a few people back on track and they all loved the lifestyle
Point 1. - Depends on how hard they trained I guess. Tents are more about entertainment than hardcore sport - think smash up derby vs V8 Supercars, both fun to watch but one a bit more serious. Point 2. - Agreed.
Good call Devoy, ill pay that lol I felt sorry for Ellis, not sure if its his eyes or what but something just made me feel sorry for the bloke, the rest of them imo are ******s, that model chick i could tell the moment i saw her that she wouldnt last long, not a boxer at all or even a fighter imo, too much miss prissy type that one Moheakan cant box to save his life, ill leave it at that. Blair Wilson has the skills and is cagy, he wouldnt be easy to defeat in the tents imo but would be a diffrent story in the ring with four corners and ropes and a neutral referee lol Butterbean is just a thug, if he wants treatment theres always Anger managment courses and much better ways to cure his sickness that what he is doing now, getting drunk before punching on was my main concern as well as the thug nature in which he fights, its not boxing its a street fight with him. I cant really see any talent in Brophys tent other than Ellis and perhaps wilson but given he couldnt reproduce his sucess in the tents inside the pro ring it would be a long shot. So if we have a good look at the tents today we can really see what they are, side show entertainment and nothing more.
TC I'll tell you this. Blair by his own admission never applied himself in the pro ranks. Was living a great social life n basically the only training in between pro fights was fighting for Fred. He took most of fights at short notice & came in from wherever the tent was to fight. Both he & James where really good amt's n not knowing you from a bar os soap n no disrespect intended but you'd get one ****en hellavu surprise if you laced up the gloves in the ring with Blair n james. They both are great boxers n Blair has one hellavu left hook that I have seen change many a fight plan. Go thru his pro record & see who he fought before you critise. A lot of fairly experienced fellas on that list. I still don't understand all the negative towards Blair. I'd say you should come up to Emerald n we'l organise a few rounds with you against Blair if you like. Then I'd like to see what you write after your experience. And don't say your an ol man........hell we are all past our best but I know for one Blair is in! Your call TC. Man up or shut the **** up about Blair!
Go on Ty. I'll be your manager. So what if I stay in Melbourne.. My advice will be "throw more punches".
ill need a spew bucket, 1 min rounds, and a flight on that nice helicopter lol.. oh and a mobile phone line direct to Bobby Sins lounge room on hands free plz! lol
Blair would destroy Ty, whether it be in a ring or in a tent. Ty went to Thailand last year to supposedly turn pro but got embarrassed in a spar by an Aussie tourist. No wonder he doesn't want to step inside a tent against Blair or Ben. And Ty's in his early thirties so him saying that he's an old man is just another cop out. He had a very average amateur "career" having failed on at least one occasion ( This content is protected ) to win a League state title.
