my personal opinion is sturm I remember watching that card, hopkins fought on the same card, then it was him and DLH
Sturm, but it wasn't a beating like most remember. Oscar had a pretty awesome body combo thing going all night, but we all know if body attack doesn't lead to ko then it doesn't lead to points victory either. Head hunting is what's it all about, a jab to the face will be remembered over the combos let loose on the body all night. Another thing I didn't like about Sturm's victory was when he ran away from Oscar the last round so that Oscar couldn't pull a Quartey on him. That was kind of in bad taste. So I say Sturm wins on ring generalship, but a close fight if you count body shots, which no one does.
I had it a draw, really, but I can make a better argument for Sturm winning than for Oscar winning. I felt Oscar wasn't given enough credit for his body work by the fans. Also, this was the worst version of Oscar (besides the Pac fight) I have EVER seen. The guy looked a complete mess even just walking towards the ring.
Close fight couldve gone either way. Not the robbery everyone makes it out to be, a bit like pascal vs hopkins wasn't.
Haven't watched it in a while, however I remember Sturm being in control but allowing DLH too much oppurtunity and allowing the fight to slip away. Like the old saying goes, don't count your chickens before they hatch.
It's true, judges are often blind to body shots, as are the Compubox gents, but it's massively ******ed and goes against the actual rules of scoring a fight.
Scares me cause DLH had to win cause they had the DLH/Hopkins all set up............I seem to remember Bernard almost in shock watching from a TV..................unless I'm losing it:smoke
