All you bloody do is talk about flaws!

Boxers have strengths as well ya know!

About to watch it again with a sober head and a clear mind. One thing thats been in my head is why Bradley couldn't land on Alexander with more success. Yes, Alexander has a shitty technique but with a bit of footspeed and some fast flurries it proved a tough nights work for Bradley. Khan has faster feet, faster hands, and a DECENT JAB. I had it 5-4 Bradley going into the 10th as well although I did feel Bradley would pour it on the last couple rounds and get the decision clearly enough.

At least this fight should put an end to the 'Bradley will have an easy time with Khan' lines. In truth I was very disappointed with both Bradley and Alexander last night.

Dude Khan does not have a decent jab he has one of the best jabs in boxing today. He uses it effectively and also consistently. It buys him time to pick punches. Bradley is a good fighter but to be honest Khan seems a level ahead of these guys and not to mention he hasnt peaked yet whereas Bradley is probably at his peak now.

Khan v Bradley has to be made will be a great fight, Alexander has a bit of a climb now maybe beating Maidana will help him regain credit, not sure if he will be able to though!

    :lol::yep

Just started rewatching the fight now, anybody have any theories as to why Bradley was so unwilling to launch his overhand right? He must have know the massive success Kotelnik had with it (won Kotelnik the fight pretty much) and even in the 1st Alexander looks open to it.

Also that attempted flurry from Bradley in the 1st was nearly as bad as Menay Edwards' attempts last night

I've said many times before, apart from pure handspeed and heart Khan has very little pluses to his game. IMO. Don't rate his jab very highly at all.

I might talk about flaws a lot, but I give a fighter his props when he deserves it too.

On accumulation. I felt he had more of a dig than Khan for sure, and felt him able to exert more pressure than Khan and totally outclass Kotelnik and get him pulled out.

Of course, Alexander didn't capatilise on his form against Urango and looked as sloppy as he did against Witter. Look back, I called the Urango stoppage premature at the time, BUT gave props to Devon for a great performance.

I was wrong about Kotelnik, essentially. Who is a much better fighter than I fought previously (as was Maidana, wrong about him as well)

I was wrong on Amir big time! I felt despite his heart his chin was abysmal (wrong, and he now knows how to stop himself being finished when his fragility is exposed) but was wrong about him being able to pick punches and stick to the outside. He is primarily an offensive fighter who outworks his opponents with speed, volume, and catches the judges eyes even more with aesthetically-pleasing work.

He is not a 'pure boxer', and I doubt he has it in him to provide a negative performance. He comes forward, even when he starts his combos from mid-range.

Whos jab do you rate at 140?

In terms of effectiveness when used Khan would have to place highly. It was a massive tool against both Kotelnik and Malignaggi, they may have been 'perfect opponents' for him but they are both legit top 10 LWWs.

I think Khan will have success with it against Bradley, and when Khan is given time to use it and he can come in behind it hes a formidable offensive fighter. Also you gotta admit that handspeed and heart are two great attributes to have in abundance, even if you have little else to your game. :yep

I rate Khan right up there as the 2nd best in the division.

I agree that his handspeed and heart are very very impressive, I just don't see him as being versatile enough to be the all-conquering fighter some (not yourself my Pomponion friend, not many I'd say that too  :yep) think he will become.

In short, I think Bradley is worse for Khan, who is very one-dimensional, than vice versa :good

    Fair enough.

I do think he'll prove you wrong against Bradley though, it may even be a dominant victory for him. I haven't fully decided yet :smoke
