Dunne was slight bookies favourite going into the Poonsawat fight. Big Bang is a huge underdog.

Well Peters made no secret of it, he said to me in Liverpool that he had no such exclusivity.

What we need is a contact at the RTE that we can bombard. There are near 4000 people friended on my facebook page and I would be happy to put a "messege this c*&^" on the page everyday for two months

well because people pay their licence fee to them and they are the Public Broadcaster so should be broadcasting what is in the public interest and if they are saying they dont want to show boxing for one reason and then they show another promoters show then thats where the questions come into play.

I am sure they are saving their pennies so they can show Leinster School Rooogbee, or Heino Cup Roooogbee, or Six Nations Roooogbee or some other middle class bollocks that those wankers in RTE like.

    fúcking pizzez me right off!

Hear, hear, Leonard. Carl Froch should be a household name in Britain by now, with the calibre of opponents he's taken on in the past couple of years. But TV wanks refuse to get the finger out and its the same rubbish "light entertainment" every Saturday night on BBC, ITV et al.

Exact same thing happening to Willie here in Ireland. Potential breakout star, RTE being knobbish about it. An effing shame.

Leonard is right, a bombardment of very annoyed (firm not disrespectful or sweary) emails, etc to RTE should give them an inkling how much they dropped the ball on this one.

All for bombarding RTE, and if thats not working is Hyde not considing TV3. I know their a bit amateurish and haven't done one before but low cost and high profile for them and the main event won't be clashing with other sports as the Six Nations should be completed by seven.

Rather fond of the Heiniken cup and Six Nations myself, and I think you will find it's a Munster jersey Casey has been sporting and Thomond Park hosted todays presser.

If Sky pick it up fair enough but this has to be televised.

tv3 did the Jamie moore Ciaran Healy fight a few years back so cant see why they would turn down Rigo and Casey for free.

Glen Killane is the managing director of television and Tom Grealis is the sports editor at RTE. I have no email contacts but will keep digging.

Oh an Glen Killane is a rugger head, make what you like of that Slap.

What about Sky - were they not interested in Casey-Rigo. RTE has been very good with the stream of shows they have shown in the last year or so - it must be down to their relationship/deal with Peters, rather than anything else?
