Must be. They never showed any interest in Brian Magee until he fought on a Peters show. Have RTE shown a fight that wasnt promoted by Peters ( or co-promoted) since Dunne came back?

After reading about the press conference in Limerick today at 2 on Facebook and on here, I decided to head down there. The gates were all closed and there wasn't much activity...not between 2 and 2.30 pm anyway. Did the conference go ahead or what? I see that Taylor was sparring Rigondeaux in St. Francis'...so what exactly went on today?

What possibly reason would rté have for not broadcasting the fight especially if it's free:huh? I don't get it:?

There must be something else behind it. They picked up Casey/Hyland, and surely this is a bigger fight.

Lads i think even if RTE get TV it costs 40-70k to out side broadcast-hence why they dnt just take it for free. Same with TV3 and Setanta they cant afford that. I know the last TV3 show Tommy Egan had to pay for the outside broadcast/

Love that Tims bit, he is a gas! And he looked good last night. Also Casey at the presser today when asked did he see Rigo's last fight

"well i tried to watch it but was so bored i fell asleep and I only woke up because of the noise of all the boos"

tv3 would be ideal. Imagine if they showed this fight and Casey won no matter what it will be a ratings winner for them to show it. It could well even lead to more boxing on Irish tv which isnt a bad thing in the long run but I get the feeling that this will not be on the cards for them at this time.

TV3 will want Dolphil and Hyde to pay for the broadcasting too- so it would cost them 30-40k to get tv. I am 99 percent sure thats how it works. I did hear Casey is ratings garanteed he apeals across the board and all stations would be eager to show him, but they just cant afford it!
