Chavez Jr is tired of fighting tough opponents who carry very little name value

True, but GBP just ****ing suck. They haven't managed to do anything right in so, so long. Chavez Jr.'s a conundrum. Not good enough to be a legitimate champion at MW(especially considering his up and coming peers), but not bad enough that he should be taking on guys like Lyell. He could be in some entertaining fights IMO.

He should just cash out on an Alvarez fight

Prove it. David was supposed to fight Rubio last August, and has fought Ayala and Camacho since. The Rubio eliminator is in April...

What should he REALLY do to step up? Please tell us, Freddy. :nut

none of those guys are a step up, even rubio is already passed his good days.....not really a title eliminator type of fight

duddy is still better than all of them, including rubio...

    Wow, come on :rofl

  5. I really do wish Chavez would get a real live opponent soon. He can either step up and shine or get exposed and go down in flames...

Not including Rubio... Duddy's time is even before Rubio's. Sam Miller was also a MW contender at some point, and Rubio beat him clearly.

Camacho and Ayala are step ups from Raines, that's the point I was making. And Rubio is a bigger threat than ANYONE Chavez Jr has ever faced.

That's what I mean, Golden Boy would feed him right to Canelo after whispering plenty of sweet nothings about how they really want to invest in him. :yep He'd be KTFO, but he'd also get paid more in one night than TR probably gives him for 10 Latin Furys and he'd certainly shed the reputation (as never taking on real challenges) that so irks him.

duddy was a bigger threat, and a better opponent....hardly anyone gave chavez jr a legit shot, WHILE EVERYONE EXPECTS AND KNOWS RUBIO IS GOING TO CANADA TO LAY DOWN !!! THAT'S A FACT

How is that a fact? Rubio's promoter was trying real hard to have the fight take place in Mexico. Yeah, Rubio certainly wants to lay down and **** off in this one. :think

Duddy went life and death with Walid Smichet @ MSG... Walid Smichet FFS.

Why does it matter so much to you? Kid is 22 and his Montreal fanbase is growing fast, why the **** would it matter at this point in his career?

Why doesn't he fight alfonso gomez next? He's not the best opponent for him but he has a name. He's been in the ring with former/current champions (cotto-Gatti(rip)-Castillo(past prime).

Chavez-gomez would be a decent fight.
