So you rate Berto, Bradley and Khan higher than Pacquiao? You think Pacquiao is the easier bout? There is no point to your argument.

He wants a bout with P4P#1...but he is avoiding "lesser" fighters...doesn't make sense.

Not everyone can move up the divisions as successfully as Pacquiao has done. Marquez is fighting above his limit as it is. Just because Pacquiao beat Cotto and Margarito...doesn't mean Marquez can.

But, the size difference between Marquez and Pacquiao isn't that great...Pacquiao has definitely bulked up and improved as he has moved up in weight, but there is a chance that there could be a fairly competitive bout between them.

Anyone who uses the Bob Arum, "Marquez should move up and beat Cotto and Margarito..." argument, is missing the point.

It's clear the gap in skill between Marquez and Alexander or Bradley is likely enough to compensate for the five pounds. This fight doesn't excite me and is sad for Morales, but at least they get a good payday and a decent Mexican event with the chance to see Marquez perform and adjust to 140.

Nothing more than a money fight. I really wanna see JMM fight Bradley or Maidana next though. Preferrably Bradley since that would make history if he won.

Good Tune Up fight at 140 to get acclimated to training for 140, and money fight that he respectfully deserves...

NOT ONLY THAT, It will be a tune up for his next fight @ 140 vs one of the top dogs :thumbsup

JMM has earned the right to grab a big money, low-risk fight here and there. Sure this is a mismatch on paper, but if you know anything about boxing, Mexican fighters, or Erik Morales, you also know that Marquez is still going to have to be very focused, and very ready, to actually make this fight look like "easy money". I fully expect him to win, but if he dominates every single minute of every single round the way most people are expecting him to, he'll have earned his paycheck and then some.

Morales, even an old, shot, fat Morales, is not a dude you f*ck around with.

Marquez does deserve a tune up fight but for real he can do alot, alot, alot, alot better then fighting a shot fighter in Morales. I'm disappointed in Marquez cause again he can do alot better then fighting Morales.

morales is a legend he does not deserve to be used as a stepping stone like this, i hope he has one last hurrah and comes in to paralyze marquez.
