Its getting harder to remember now, but Evander was one hell of a BOXER in his prime!... and he had the chin and stamina to keep him in there against bigger men. I don't think he would manage to hurt Vitali real bad at any point, but he might well have out-boxed him to decision win... (especially if the fight happened in the U.S.)
Holyfield easily, Lewis barely beat an old Holyfield, Vitali's inferiour speed, lack of uppercut, infighting ability, and poor stamina would lead to a Clear Holyfield UD.
Bit harsh on Lewis - I felt he beat him comfortably once and got a draw and then only just beat him and got a wideish decision. Got to love boxing!
Yah because holy had the punching power to stop vitali :rofl. If vitali had consistently lost rounds I would say Holyfield would have a good chance, but vitali doesnt lose rds period. I got vitali by a clear UD.
Since when did vitali lack stamina and diversity of punches? Vitali has PHENOMENAL stamina for a guy 6'8 who regularly throws 50-70 punches a rd.
I like Vitali in this match-up. Would be an excellent, close fight though. Vitali's biggest challenge ever besides Lewis.
vitalys reach and his ability same as lewis, too box, but still turn into a monster of attack makes him a difficult opponent for anybody ever. chin as iron as holyfield, punches harder than holyfield, is way taller and has way longer reach. for me its holyfield-lewis all over again.
He sure looked tired against both Lewis and Byrd, he also looked out of breath against punching bags, Peter and Williams.
