If Hagler/Leonard never happened... How would these two fighters (and their respective legacies) be perceived?
Who cares, it did happen. Let me ask you something else. Do you think Leonard or Hagler would turn down olympic style drug testing. The answer is hell to the mother****ing no.
It obviously affected Leonard much more because he won the fight and has probably one of the greatest wins in boxing history. Hagler looked awful in that fight. Hagler never fought again because he was so disgusted. He couldn't get SRL to sign the rematch if i'm not mistaken. Hagler got beat by the one guy he despised for most of his career.
