By that logic, Floyd should've fought Collazo instead, since he beat the **** out of Hatton.

Cotto was "too green" for Mayweather per Arum when the fight could be made and a nobody. Mayweather did the right thing, though I wish he did fight Cotto. He took on the top guys and had the best fights. The numbers reflect it.

Mayweather also knew what we now know... Arum won't make a fight with him.

No why would you fight someone two fights out of their first KO loss when they looked blah against B level fighters.

Same logic as the Mosley fight. What made him a "great matchup"? Being dominated by FMJ? The atrocious performance against Mora?

Fight someone that looks good Pac! Please!

i know you are like timmyjames, a hardcore floyd fanatic that will vote hatton as a cherry-pick. still hatton was the best fighter at 140 because floyd beat him at 147 and not 140. after floyd, he proceeded to beat lazcano, struggled for a moment but dominated him. he also smashed the #1 ranked 140 in malignaggi that time cementing him as the king of 140. now, if you wouldn't understand this then i could not help you anymore.

    WTF??!???!

How on this earth can fighting the division's number 1 ranked fighter be a cherrypick?!

That fundamentally does not make any sense at all, because if fighting the division's number 1 ranked fighter is a cherrypick then that means Pac couldn't have fought ANYONE in that division otherwise it's a cherrypick, and how can that ever be?

    Lunacy. :yikes:nono:lol:

It stuns me that Mayweather fans make accusations of cherrypicking about ANY other fighter.

Mayweather shamelessly and openly cherrypicked belts from weaker title holders at 140 and 147 when there were MUCH better fighters around to fight, and his "comeback" fight was the most pathetic cherrypicked mismatch in living memory.

    Ridiculous.

Definition of a ******* right here. This guy had pac a huge favourite vs every opponent since marquez. Most boxing fans saw a run of highly contested matchups pre-fight. Look at the pre fight polls. Diaz, hoya, hatton, cotto, clottey. All them were seen not far off fifty fifty.

It is only since clottey pac has been an overwhelming favourite vs his opponents.

This ******* believer noone can challenge pac. Tut tut.

Yep. They knew Hatton was done. As did anybody else who watched his fight with Juan Lazcano.

you are talking about a former lineal s.flyweight champion fighting a welterweight and you're calling it cherrypicking?

Next Cotto will sign a fight with Wlad and people will call that cherrypicking too

Random gypsy chav, how is he then supposed to school me on peoples immediate opinions on Slick Rick and Manny Pacquiao as it was signed?

Some very reasonable posters called it for what it was.

Pac is just showing Gayweather how to beat an opponent.

    Next - Mosley!
