true. but i was looking for 2 sided chess matches. Tito was just trying to will himself into striking range in that fight.
that was one of the fights on my mind when I started this thread. Ofcourse I wouldn't have ever known of this fight if it weren't for you schooling me Red. Much appreciated.
Jim Watt versus Howard Davis Jr. It looked as if Mr. Watt said to Howard Davis, 'you jab me first with your fake jab, then I'll shove a proper hard jab in your face!
Johnson-Charles comes to mind. It was pretty action packed, but you could still see both trying to lure the other out and pounce. A masterclass by Johnson.
..charles/walcott was a good pick.. but i think the second louis/walcott virtually illustrates the example here... walcott counter punched louis throughout their first one. in the second, louis stopped leading and walcott didn't want to lead either. the fans booed...actually it was very smart boxing by both fighters. finally walcott opened up and started a combo and even did what was later called the ali shuffle and louis tagged him....incredibally fast combos..three left hooks in a row..and walcott was kayoed.
Ayub Kalule vs Masashi Kudo Kalule's masterful pin-point boxing versus Kudo's natural strength, schooled wrestling maneuvers, unmatched stamina and rock-jaw.
