Well, I think if he knocks out Cotto - which I think he will, btw - these discussions won't be completely out of bounds. Now? Yeah, it's premature. But he's getting there. This is the fight, imo, that moves him from simply being a great fighter, to being clearly an ALL TIME great fighter. The only question now is how he's gonna rate on those all-time P4P lists.
you are joking right??? I give Floyd all the props and have and continue to have him 1 PFP but if you are comparing Ricky Hatton at 147 to Fullmer's chin you have to be fing joking!
Compare the chins, that was the only KD of Gene's career, and Hatton was out on his feet against Collazo.
Yup...He looked strong and good tonite.Hatton paid for being the smaller guy and his fighting style.Just did'nt let his hands go enough.Either way.Mayweather handled his business tonite.Outmuscled, outfouled and outboxed him. But...he's far from a Robinson still.Hell,he's still far from a Sugar Ray Leonard at this stage. And IMO,with every potential fight out there...Cotto,Williams etc...he still would'nt be near enough even if he fights and beats these guys...On skill alone,he may be closest since Sugar Ray...possibly Roy Jones as well. Master class tho' tonite.Hate him or love him...He's the goods.
he is the #1 atg in terms of natural skill; he just needs to show it through fights like this. he will dominate cotto, and williams would get his ass dropped too.
