I read that article earlier today. I can understand why Warren would want deGale to fight Miranda. I do not understand the Pavlik talk. Pavlik is not a stepping stone, and if Warren tries to use him for one, him and his fighter will regret it.
- Degale would do to 'Pantera' what Andre Ward did to him - outclass him in every department and look like a million dollars. - Not sure how Pavlik is physically and mentally. - Is he ready For Bute (IBF), Froch (WBC), Ward (WBA)? I think not. - Only leaves Robert Stieglitz (WBO) as a realistic target.
Who knows how Pavlik will come back after rehab, but his def no walk over even for a top amature standout
id like to see degale take on some good americans. maybe some of ward and dirrells recent foes. curtis stevens who gave dirrell a torrid time, edison miranda, bika or paschall. all better fighters than smith imo. maybe he could win the title off stieglits the have two easier guys like the ones ive mentioned. the in a years time he can take on all comers.
