He's a solid well rounded fighter but IMO well out of his depth against Thiago , he has good wrestling but i think Alves's TD defence is up to it !!! , beaten by Hathaway on his UFC debut , holds wins against Ellenberger , Osipczak , Hendricks (all on decision) & Hazelett (TKO) , he'll have to produce a career best performance against Alves to make it credible IMO !!!!!
It would not surprise me if Nelson won. BUT he has to be way more active than he was in the DOS SANTOS fight to stand a chance against Mir.

Matt Hamill Vs Phil Davis as well, Hamill is a good gauge for Davis IMO :good Let's see how 'Mr Wonderful' deals with him :deal Wanderlei is done.....but he looks odd now he's had plastic surgery to 'correct' his caveman-esque features. Nelson-Mir seems very evenly matched. Edgar will win handily on points this time IMO.
