Yes, I think he is. The same goes for Pac. Both Pac and Valero leave themselves open when attacking. I think Pac has a better defense, but they both make pretty much the same mistakes. Any boxer who can take/avoid their punches and apply his skills, will beat them both. Remember Trinidad against BHOP? What about Trinidad against Winky. Trinidad lost against two different styles/type of boxer. BHOP is the type of boxer that you and I might consider as elusive/defensive boxer while Winky is more of the type of boxer who can be right there in front of you and you cannot hit, because of his shell. At the end, the result was the same. And this is something that could happen to Valero and Pac or any other boxer. They are lucky they don't have to fight boxers like that in their weightclass. :yep
So Pac leaves himself open but not one of the great fighters he beaten capitalized on it? If you really believe in what you have said, then perhaps you know better than MAB, Morales, JMM, Ledwaba, Sasakul, Larios, Solis, etc? So maybe you should step up and show them how to do it? :yep I think you are just waiting for Pac to show sign of being shot and when he gets defeated at the end of his career (as most figters eventually will), you will be jumping up and down and say "I told you so.." atsch atsch
The thing with Pac is that he is for now the BIG filipino name. A lot of people back home adore the man even though their boxing knowledge is limited (not to the point that they say he can fight Valuev or something). and they just started watching when Manny burst into the scene. I was watching the man's progress before he was subbed in to fight Ledwaba and he didn't have the massive fan support he has now. Maybe, if another filipino fighter comes up say Rey Bautista or even Nonito Donaire make a big name for themselves, the Pacquiao horde will be diminished a bit.
Their chin didn't help them. They were doing a good job (EM and JMM) and they capitilezed on that, but they didnt finish the job. What I am trying to say is that kind of boxers that are not too skillful can be taken apart by the type of boxers I mentioned. When boxers that rely more on their power don't get their opponents down, then it become difficult for them to get the victory, because they would have to outbox their opponents and that become a difficult task against boxers who rely on skills. It is just simple logic. Why do you think some people think that Guzman coud beat Pac? I believe they think that he could beat him because they say he has a good chin. So, if his chin is great and he doesn't go down, then he has a chance because his style and hand speed etc etc. would/could trouble Pac. However, Guzman leaves himself open as well. He has the tendency to fight with his guard down.. so, that it is going to be interesting. You know what I mean?
-- ODLH - drained, lost to Mayweather -- Hatton - KTFO by Mayweather -- Cotto - KTFO by Margarito, drained -- Clottey - Pac bought off his sparring partner, got a "bonus" for the WORST fight of his career -- Margarito - KTFO by Mosley, drained, suspended -- Mosley - dominated by Mayweather, fought to a draw with a guy now fighting on FNF's against a journeyman! Pac is fighting the BEST and there is no controversy... Because you are a *******. rofl
Name "the best". I'll give you Morales Barrera Marquez (whom he lost to) and even Larios but the rest were not the best, at least not at their best.
