Why Don't Pavlik fight Wright for his comeback fight?

    I mean lets think for a second, who has Pavlik lost twice too? Against great boxing skill fighters in Hopkins and Martinez. Wright also has a very good boxing skills so why not fight Wright? What does fighting Vera help Pavlik at all? I mean for real. If Pavlik wants to stay at 168 pounds then he better face a fighter like Wright first cause if he beats Wright in a impressive fashion? It will help Pavlik so that when Pavlik face slick fighters like Bute and Ward, he could have a shot at winning. Yes Wright is a 160 pound fighter but i think he can fight Pavlik like a 164 pound catchweight.

    Not a supporter of this. Wright is a notorious spoiler, and even fighters that beat him often look bad doing it. So it's a lose lose for Pavlik.

    looks like kelly's next fight will be at or above 168. dunno if they want him boiling all the way back down in his first fight back. fight could have happened years ago

    probably because no one has ever looked good fighting Wright, so after a lay off why take such a risky opponent? to be honest, that would be one of the worst match ups they could give him

    Wright could do step aside money for Mackin or anything. Wright has been wanted to fight Pavlik for years and years so why not now?

    They want either someone they're sure he beats or someone he makes mad money on, probably. Neither of those are Wright.

    He did not look shot to me against Williams. Certainly not what he was, but he's still formidable, imo, until proven otherwise.
