Yeah when it comes to naz i'm one of those delusional fans who thinks he's the greatest of all time in his weightclass and a couple of years previous, he'd have beaten floyd, mab, morales and marquez. I hate barrera for bursting my naz bubble. Can't even watch the fight fully.
Floyd never fought at feather, Morales would of beat him down worse than Barrera. JMM beats him aswell im afraid:thumbsup
Naz vs Morales would be one sick fight. Erik would have him out of there in the mid rounds, Naz bloodied and battered. :happy Him vs Marquez would just be an embarrassing 120-108 x3 shutout. Barrera was the easiest style matchup for him of the three and he was soundly whipped.
No but there were big talks about naz moving up. The result wouldn't have been important as long as the fights happened. Anything better than watching an untrained, unmotivated great ruin his career in one night.
you don't get what i'm saying. the result aren't important as long as the fights are competitively made. if naz shows up in shape and gives it his all and carries on win or lose to another big fight, he gets remembered much fonder as opposed to someone who fell out of love with the sport and went out with a wimper. he had no fighting spirit left, you could tell he took success in the fact he didn't get stopped. such a shame. compare it to bruno, a man who lost much more often, yet gave every fight 100% and won the hearts of the public.
There was a time when he would of been the most unorthodox banger with great reflex's that these fighters would've ever met. He was great for a short time and that time had gone when he met mab. Yes he would've been beaten down worse against morales but for a short time he had a very good shout at beating some of them mentioned imo
Very good fight tonight. I hoped arthur could keep up the good work but the class difference told. Hopefully booth goes for european (maybe martinez?) next and then to a title shot. Perhaps vs nishioka.
michael jennings cos he's from the same town as me. been to all of his fights, was great going all the way from four rounders to fighting for a world title at madison square garden, even tho he lost. its been a great journey all the same. really nice bloke aswell
