Arum probably doesn't believe his own rhetoric. He's just showing support for his guy.

Pound for pound, Alvarez all the way!

I think that Canello could KTFO Chavez in 8 rounds.

Hype for Canelo is unbelievable. Oscar's got fans believing this kid is already a great fighter having beaten nobody to prove it. He is no more proven than Chavez Jr.

Nothing too outrageous with what Arum said. I believe Chavez Jr does have a chance. It's good hype for a future fight.

Oscar has been complaining about TR not giving them fights, well here is Arum throwing them a bone. Let's see if Oscar is willing to follow that up and finally try to make a good fight for his future cash cow or if he will continue milking him against shot and overmatched fighters.

The funny thing is at 160 lbs I think old bobby's got a point. Chavez isn't completely useless and Canello got rocked by older cotto...a 135 lb fighter. Alverez will do okay at ww....he may even turn out to be as good as his hype would suggest....but to put him in with an experienced guy two wieght divisions above where he should be fighting at this point in his career is idiotic.

I think this would be an extremely close fight and I'd give the edge to Chavez at this point since he's not only bigger but also quite a bit quicker.

We're not even sure if he is a welter anymore. He keeps fighting at 150. Hatton fight will be the same. Either he is doing that to gain a strength advantage over opponents, or he can't get down to 147 or feels weakened there.

Chavez Jr could be done at a catchweight. 154-157, Jr could probably still make that.

Ever since Arum called Ali a 1 handed fighter I have a new found admiration for his boxing knowledge.
