Obviously one punch ko's happen. Less and less in modern day boxing because way fighters fight. But dunno what this has to do with Maidana being a accumulative puncher? no one saying it's a bad thing.

my point is its rare that at world level for a fighter to get KO'd one punch style like Martinez over Williams for example.

ya man lufcrazy was saying Judah, Marquez and Ortiz have the one punch power to KO Khan and Maidana doesn't but none of those 3 have ever knocked a guy out with 1 shot at world level. Judah maybe but not for some time.

i was agreeing with you just giving another perspective.

that is my whole point really. maidana is an accumulation break you down type of boxer. and i don't believe khan has any issues with that type.

IMO he should be more worried about clean accurate punches.

it doesn't have to be a lights out type of shot. but the clean shots that change a fight on it's head. the uppercut marquez landed on diaz, the uppercut judah on santa cruz. as for ortiz, it is just my hunch he has the power required. all his knock downs seem to be from clean punches, not scrappy physical combo's.

it's a stylistic difference regarding power. kinda like cintron and margo.

    ya get me?

IMO an accumulation puncher (i.e. matthyse, maidana) will not knock out khan. but someone who can land clean accurate punches (i.e. judah, marquez and imo ortiz) can do.

as for favouring, i would favour marquez to knock out khan. i would give judah a good shot in the first 6 rounds. khan and ortiz is too hard for me to call.

i believe prescot would beat khan because of the mental edge and fighting style. is khan backs up onto the ropes and ships big hooks off prescott i don't see him having the menta edge to stay on his feet.

I like this fight purely because Americans hate it. It is pissing me off how much they are looking down on McCloskey without seeing him, especially seeing as the preferred choice is Prescott who is definitely a worse fighter then McCloskey. Dan Rafael has a lot to answer for, he has the lot of them following him like Rats follow Pied Piper.

Wasn't it Sky who rejected Witter, I'm pretty sure that is what Witter said and that is what quite a few sources claimed.

Witter said on thursday they were not 100% about it. most places are saying it was HBO. It pretty likley both networks rejected him he would have been an abysmal opponent.

I would like to think that Sky rejected it but you never know with them their quality control at times is non existent.
