Shogun thought Bader was going to win by GnP.

I'm sorta surprised Shogun is still in his late 20s. A ripe age for a Light Heavyweight King.

Overeem is a monster too.... Shogun KO`d his ass twice... if Shogun comes in 100% as he should do despite the layoff then Jones ragdolling days are no more.

    Not me.

Maybe the 2 wins over Machida (another phenom that had not lost a minute of a rd in UFC) were not enough to convince some people that all the reports they read about Rua from Pride were correct.... some will never learn.

I have learned. I fancied Machida to beat Rua, and even when I scored the 1st fight 4-1 to Rua, I still thought Machida would do it in the rematch :)oops:), but then I finally grasped that Rua is back to being somewhere close to his Pride Grand Prix '05 form when he obliterated Machida, and that version of Rua is as good as any fighter I've ever seen. I love Machida and I think he's a great fighter, so the fact that Rua proved his superiority over him twice IMO means a lot in my book. Rua is a special fighter. No-one alive in his weight range would walk through him. No-one ever has and no-one will for the foreseeable future.

Rua looked as bad as he could look against Griffin and Coleman but still won one and wasn't dominated like he should ahve been vs Griffin. It's quite scary how less of a man Rua vs Griffin and Coleman is.

If Rua is 100% then you are right, he ****s people up and won't ever be dominated.

Agreed. I had also picked Machida to beat Rua twice. however, Rua proved me wrong and showed that a healthy motivated Rua is tough as nails and very very good.

Yeah just look at Rua in the last 6 years or so. Check out his losses Coleman I he had his arm broke on a takedown basically a fluke, Forrest Griffin well Shogun went in with a blown out ACL shouldnt even have fought, Machida I he got ripped off BAD and KTFO Machida in the rematch. Overeem got TKOed 2x, Rampage has his ribs broke and beat down in minutes, Liddell didnt just get KTFO he also got dominanted before that, Lil Nog he beat him, Arona was nearly killed, Randleman damn near has his knee ripped out. Your right Shogun at his best is just freaking scary.

Rua is the same as a Fedor in his approach. He is a freestyler who looks to damage and finish fights. He is old school pride. He knows no other way. He will **** you up with strikes and not fear the takedown. He will fight and wherever the fight goes then so will he. Becuase of his approach, like Fedor, people may see him taken down etc and think he is human. Being hit, takendown etc is just a risk of his approach.

Shogun is one of the baddest men to ever compete in combat sports and if he is 100% healthy then he will remind everyone of that.

    Quite possibly yes !!!!

Jones is the Cain Velasquez equivalent @205 , he is rolling through opponents with eeeeeeeeeeeease and is looking more well rounded and composed every fight , against anyone @205 right now Jones should be the favourite .

Me too. It's just I have never seen a guy breeze so effortlessly through the competition. Even when he steps up against better opposition they have been like mis-matches.

On a seperate note, anyone else hate the title fight being announced in the oct' right after the Bader fight? That was some WWE **** right there. Just seemed a bit tacky.

Shpgun beats Bones, I can't understand the oddsmaker. Bones never beat a world class MMA LH.
