Flloyd said he would fight Ricky again and stated it was always an ambition of his to come over to the UK to fight.

Can anybody see a rematch coming out of this maybe in Man City's stadium or a big venue?

I know really mayweather doesnt need to rematch as he outclassed ricky hatton, he just picked his shots and his accuracy done the damage.

Ricky gave it a good shake but just wasnt able to beat an all time legend and who is surely the best boxer of my time.

    I don't think so

I think Ricky should go back to 140, where he is a monster. He does not have the style to be mixing it with these bigger guys

Paulie Malignaggi is a bit of a step down. Junior Witter would be a massive fight over here, doubt the yanks would care, but we don't give a feck

What's the point, Mayweather has proved everything. Hatton hasn't got anything else to give, certainly not at 147lbs where he is finished.

Back to 140, clean up the division, Malinaggi at the garden, then Witter at Wembly. Then retire a british and jr wlt great.

Witter and Malignaggi are the only fights to be made really

Hatton just can't fight that way at 147, he more or less admitted as much post fight

I think he'll bounce back in both those fights, and will go down as one of the great light welters

I wouldn't be surprised if Mayweather made the conscious decision to rematch Hatton. A sure thing. I'd personally like to see Mayweather fight Cotto or Williams.

Yeah guys im pretty much in thinking the same what would be the point i just thought it would be a good subject to open and see what everybody else thought. I cant see ricky ever fighting at 147 again, hes just not a big enough guy.. He would be stopped by Cotto aswell in my opinion.

I think a good route would be to get back in there straight away and setup a fight against Witter, Malignaggi or Torres. there isnt a whole load left really at light welterweight for him other than them three fights. He was schooled by mayweather last night in my book and i always said that would happen.

Just a question: when did Floyd say that? (If he did so in an HBO-interview, I didn't watch HBO.)

And was there a rematch-clause in the fight-contract giving Hatton rights for a rematch?

I must admit I agree with this comment! though deep inside i wanted hatton to upset pbf. Too bad it did not happen!
