People started seeing the light and picked GSP but Silva looks terrible but can look awesome. Awesome sticks in the head more, the same way so many boxing fans will over rank a fighter due to having wars.

It cannot possiby be Fedor !!!!!!!!!!! , submitted by a guy who P4P would not live with any of the top 5 in the world , went life and death with a very average HW who would not see the top 15 in the world (Rogers) , Fedors day was marvelous for what he done for the sport , that day has gone now ....................

For me its GSP , he gets my vote on his well rounded game and the ease he's handling top level fighters who on paper should be putting up a decent fight .

For what its worth ive got Silva 2 , and Shogun 3

i don't care what anyone says, fedor is a light heavyweight who likes his food too much and isn't interested with the turmoil of cutting weight.

for this reason alone, i will always rank fedor p4p and because he has mixed it up with smaller fighters to show he isn't one of those small fighters who can take advantage of bigger, slower, less skilled fighters.

Yup, Fedor still has it. For me the Werdum win was more luck, than anything. I mean Fedor was pounding him, Werdum fell, normally he wouldve gotten KOD, but Fedor just seing red and not thinking too much and suddenly it happened.

This isn't anything to do with 'opinion'. That's dumb. Someone saying "I think Josh Koscheck is p4p #1" should be picked on, regardless of opinion. You can't put Fedor at current p4p #1. Especially when he's a heavyweight, is coming off a loss (his first real loss, btw), isn't as active as his competition and the fact that his competition haven't lost in years, one never in his promotion.

I think if GSP fight's at 170, he is better. But if he moves up to 185, Silva is better.

Geez what a crock  First off when they fought Rogers was ranked in the top 10 independently. Secondly that fight was NOT by ANY definition life and death.
And Shogun top 3 P4P? Yeah ok dude.... :patsch

Really? A decade without a loss doesn't count for much right? Which fighter past or present has a record of dominance close to that? Or is the subjectivity of P4P rankings based on popularity?

Its clearly just between GSP and Anderson now, and it depends on your perspective really. Anderson looks more beatable to me. If he fights Chael again he will be manhandled like he was before, even if he scores a triangle/armbar. That to me detracts from his aura more than GSP's seeming inability to finish fights, or indeed his KO loss to Matt Serra 100yrs ago. You could easily make the case that Anderson beating a guy like Chael who had all the style advantages over him only adds to his case. I prefer GSP though, at 170 it doesn't look like he'll ever lose a minute of a round ever again.

Jesus Christ I'm not saying he isn't one of the best, I'm just saying he isn't P4P now. People think I'm shitting on Fedor and I'm absolutely not. He's just not the best in the world right now, and even if he was, he's a goddamn heavyweight. It defeats the point of a P4P ranking. He's not numero uno in the p4p rankings, deal with it.

You're doing P4P by accolades, I'm not. Otherwise Penn would still be in the top 5.
