    1. Hatton is not really a welter and was too small

Niether is Floyd. just a few short years ago there was all this talk about how Hatton was bigger and stronger than Floyd. Floyd was at 130 when Hatton was at 140. I recall one intreview where Ricky said that after standing next to floyd he felt there was nothing that FLoyd could offer him physically because he was too small. Floyd has looked better at welter than Ricky because he is a better fighter Not because he is a bigger man.

    2. Ricky was shot, couldn't fight his fight.

This was the same Ricky we have always seen. His being unable to fight his fight had nothing to do with being shot or not getting any sleep or anything along those lines it had to do with being in against a superior opponent who neutralized everything that Hatton tried to do.

Feel free to post any of your other lame ass excuses in here so that I can own you some more bitches

Hardly anybody is making any excuses :?

There will always be a few spastics, but the vast majority of us Hatton fans have conceded Floyd would of won under any circumstances, although the ref didn't help the fight as a spectacle

Don't really think this is warranted

I'm seeing excuses in virtually every thread. People are saying that they are not making any excuses but then following it up with an excuse.

He never really came with any excuses, the fact that he wasn't naturally as natural at that weight was no secret.. He gave everyone due credit and only said what he did wrong in the fight.. He gave no excuses.. He isn't that kind of guy........ He did something unreal, fought a P4P great out of his own comfort zone and dared to fight in range of some dangerous action. He gave Floyd awesome credit.

You forgot that Cortez kept Ricky from winning the fight. They should've flown Micky Vann in to let Hatton hit PBF in the nuts all night.

    1. I think Mayweather is legit 147 to be honest. He has big shoulders and neck, he just looked bigger than Hatton and so did Collazo. When Hatton fights at 140 his opponents are same size as him. Can you imagine Hatton vs Williams?

2.Ricky wasnt ready for that speed. Collazo was the only one that gave him glimpses of what a fast handed fighter is and Hatton didnt perform well. Its a completly different case with Miguel Cotto who already fought Judan, Malignagi and Mosley.

Hatton got a taste of his own medicine tonight.
By the way he responded to Cortez, he didn't much like it!

There is a difference between excuses and fact, you are trying to stir up an argument out of nothing

It's fact that Ricky is a natural light welter, he struggled against Collazo and struggled yesterday (although yesterday was less about the weight, more about Mayweather being better). We thought Ricky might be stronger, but he wasn't

As for being shot, that is absurd, and I've only seen one person say that. What's the point in picking up on one idiot, just ignore it

What makes Mayweather legit at 147 is the fact that he is a better fighter though. Not the fact that he is physically bigger. He is able to put on the weight better. IF he wanted to he could still make 140. Try imagining Floyd next to paul williams. He too would look like a midget

This is an explanation but not an excuse. It just shows that Floyd was able to adapt tp Hatton's style better than Hatton was able to adapt to FLoyd's

    *sigh*

I'm fully aware that PBF isn't a 147lb fighter either - and that he would beat Hatton at 140lbs too. But Hatton's style translates terribly to a step up in weight. That's a simple fact.

Well that I can agree with. Floyds style is much better suited for a move up in wieght because he does not rely on physical strength half as much as Ricky

No, I just honestly believe that Miguel Cotto isw that guy who will beat him. I see it in him. I really wanna see that fight before Floyd retires. I hope it happens next.

Huh?! He gave Floyd great credit for throwing in some dirty moves. WTF's wrong with you morons? You want to create stuff out of nothing. The fights done. Move on.
