I like money. Anyone have any suggestions? Sparring Gloves - Currently I have a starter set of 16oz everlasts. They need to go. Inside lining has been coming apart and so has the stuffing. Cheap gloves so overall, just need a better set. I'd like to get something for bag and sparring. Shoes - Have a set of Nike Lo-Pros(the 45 dollar ones). They aren't bad but they feel too constricting since I have wide feet. I've heard good things about Adidas Boss Hogs I believe they're called? I'm willing to shill out more for a better pair now and I was thinking about Nike Machomais but if they run narrow too it'd be pointless to buy uncomfortable shoes. Headgear- Meh. My gym has a communal set and I always wash my face real well after I come home from a session so i'm not TOO worried but suggestions would still be welcome. Anything else you guys feel I should spring for would be taken into consideration. I'm thinking about also getting a decent gym bag. Something I can sling over my back and wear when it starts to warm up and I start riding my ZX-6 to the gym.
Nah it's cool. It's burning money. me and my wife already put more than half of our return into savings so this is my money to spend.
Ours came in as well. We banked most and bought a few things that were needed. I bought a new pair of gloves (everlast protech2) ,handwraps, running shoes and a few t shirts. Just buy what you think you need, great thing about our sport is we can get by fairly cheap. :boxx
i'm trying to get input on some better quality gear but i just bought things I was familiar with. Got my own set of Ringside Sparring gloves and some new handwraps. I have protex 2s for bag work. I like them but the elastic is starting to warp. Good gloves though.
Gloves - I would suggest Rivals top of the line sparring gloves and some elastic converters. Shoes - I would suggest Asics Aggressors (they stretch) or Split Second Wides (made wide) if you need them wide. The grip is unbeatable and they are light as air. Nice bang for your buck. That should leave you plenty to spare.
