Dave Coldwell put it the winning bid of £400,000 presumably on behalf of Hayemaker. Hayemaker via Adam Booth bid £325,000 and Warren £320,000.

Theres allot of rumours Warren has WBA regular Champion Dimitri Sartison line up in case he lost out.

Massive amount for a British Title fight! :scaredas:

Groves v Anderson II for the vacant belt if DeGale fights Sartison?

Warren also lost out to Maloney in the Smith v Simpson rematch

    This is getting pulled.

There's no way it'll happen now.

What was the point in Booth bidding if Coldwell was bidding higher anyway? :think

It was the best way by Hayemaker to avoid the fight.

Knowing that Warren isn't going to put his biggest star on a rival promoter's show. Outbid Warren who'll get an alternative opponent for James, perhaps Sartison as mentioned.

If I was DeGale's manager I'd pursue it, it's a huge payday for a fight that's definitely his to lose stylewise, based on their recent showings.

DeGale has matured enormously whereas Groves has stood still at best.

Maybe colwell bid was insurance so they would definitely win the bid and if Booths bid comes second and beats Warren then Coldwell could drop out and Booths lower bid would be the winner if that makes any sense ?
