    That pressure is
    This content is protected
the Blue print for beating Floyd , its a Flawed plan and its one that got Hatton KOed ,

If and when, Floyd decides to Fight Cotto who is also a pressure fighter, but who is also a one handed fighter, he will get the same thing, out boxed.

Shane proved that Cotto's inside game is only good against passive fighters, against a skill fighter cotto will try to take his game to the outside and box.

    I agree.

I think only a counter-puncher fighter could beat Floyd, like Tarver made Jones suffer against him. Pressure fighters have no chance against him. However, I don't see any "Tarver" in welterweight... Mayweather vs. Forrest could be interesting.

    You are right.

However, I'm inclined to feel Miguel's pressure could be enough.Maybe

I think Cotto would be able to adjust to Mayweather's style if he wants to but that doesn't mean he would win.

And Margarito is a very good counter puncher when he decides to be.

Miguel Cotto's jab will make things difficult for Floyd, i still think Floyd will take the UD though.

Yeah I agree that Cotto is much more of a boxer than Hatton. He likes to stay on the outside and jab more and only sometimes goes in. PBF would do well against him on the outside. I would pick PBF by UD against Cotto.

I think Williams would beat PBF because he wouldn't need to get desperate like all fighters that have previously lost to PBF. He would take most of the early rounds with his huge reach advantage, making PBF chase him in the second half of the fight. PBF would never take the fight though.

Hatton kept throwing rights over PBF's left shoulder which is the worst mistake you can make against PBF, he's almost impossible to hit like that with a solid shot. But I think Williams jab could take alot of the rounds without falling into PBF's traps and let Williams stay out of PBF's hit range which alot of fighters get sucked into when frustration sets in.

    If done right it could.

However, I have said from day one that the best way to beat Mayweather is to force him to come to you and take chances. It is easy for a master boxer like Mayweather if he gets to lay back and let his opponent take all of the risk. Everyone is so eager to get shots off on him. What they should be doing, is refusing to take a step forward half of the fight, and making Mayweather come to them. Catch him coming in. When Mayweather has to lead, he leaps and lunges a lot as he pot shots... that is the perfect opportunity to catch him while he is vulnerable.

To get beaten, Floyd would need to get outboxed by a faster boxer. Zab did it the first for rounds of their fight. However, finding someone faster than PBF is not easy.

A second option is someone bigger. Someone big enough can beat PBF, who started at 130 and is probably a natural Lightweight.

I think that Floyd is a natural welterweight. He just always stays at that weight, because he always stays in top form. Floyd said himself a couple years back that he couldn't make lightweight again if he had to. He admitted to starving himself for 4 days in order to make weight at 130.

yur funny 39 have tried 39 have failed and now 25 have been KOed for there effort.

Don't kid yourself its time for a new plan..

    I disagree.

Pressure is a good tactic against ANY style, IF the pressure-fighter has enough strength, power and stamina, and a skilful approach.

Hatton simply wasn't big enough, strong enough or durable and tireless enough, and as Mayweather started to adapt and work him out, Hatton became less and less skilful.

I'm not saying there's ANYONE IN THE WORLD at either 147 or 154 who can beat Mayweather with pressure, but is there really anyone who can beat him using another strategy ?
    I doubt that too.

Faced with Mayweather's multi-layered skills, overall conditioning and talents I think pressure is as good a strategy as any to use against him.

I thought the fight last night was even after 6 rounds. Arguably, a bigger, stronger version of Hatton would be too much for Mayweather over 12.

for once I see nothing wrong with your plan:good

but I still say a south paw beat floyd , because he can't really bend out of the way of there straight left or bend to his left with out getting cought by there right hook.
