 I'm rarely moved to criticize anyone else's opinion, but goddamit, have you even seen Hearns v Duran. Joe v Pete doesn't come close in any aspect.

Also check out Julian Jacksons greatest hits for some REAL knockout spectaculars.

Duran was also quite big, for a lightweight anyway. He was also Roberto Duran!

No one else ever iced Duran in his entire career. Not Hagler at MW, not hard hitting Barkley when Duran was way past his prime and not Joppy when Duran was weight weakened, totally shot and 47 years old!

Hearns' KO of Duran was legit on all counts. Its one of the best by any standard.

That was a great KO. I was never really high on PDL. Too many flaws but he was exciting to watch for the fact that he would either KO or get KOd.

I actually would have preferred to see a rematch of this fight than a Salido fight. PDL has made more of a splash recently so it would not be hard to sell.

I agree with most of the things you say but PDL is done man. He was in a weak weight class till Gamboa and Juanma stepped in. Salido would beat him. All this guy has is a punchers chance. As long as you can take his punch and his pressure you'll beat him.

Exactly. It just goes to show what a sham the Salido fight really is. He doesnt even have a punchers chance against JML. PDL at least has that.

I know he isnt much but the power between the two will guarantee fireworks and not to mention he would be more careful and with his stamina he could make it interesting if he gets to the second half of the fight.

Surely you're being funny. That was the most bull****, hometown cooking KO I have ever seen. First it was a TKO(and a sorry excuse for a TKO at that), and second how the hell is the ref gonna stop a fight when out of 15-odd punches Joe threw at Manfredo during the "finishing" flurry that maybe three landed and did not even connect flush or have Manfredo anywhere close to being in trouble? Because the guys throwing them is Joe Calzaghe in Wales where the crowd reacts to any remotely threatening move by him like he's murdering the guy. Calzaghe could have peed on Manfredo and they would have stopped the fight on the grounds that Manfredo didn't even attempt to pee on him back.

I applaud you for mentioning the complete antithesis of a great KO.

Here are some favs of mine that were not mentioned I think

Lewis vs Rahman I & II
Julian Jackson vs Graham & Norris
    Pacquiao vs Hatton
    Tua vs Ruiz & Moorer
Robinson vs Fullmer(III I believe, the only fight between them with a KO)
Abraham vs Taylor(sad to watch though)
    Wlad Klitschko vs Ray Austin
    Donaire vs Darchinyan
    Tyson vs Berbick
    RJJ vs Griffin II
    Tyson vs Fraizer
    Foreman vs Moorer
    Kennedy vs Jones
    Patterson vs Johanssen II
    Hearns vs Cuevas
    Powell vs Bundrage
